Best camera deal of the month. Last day of the deal coming up! Tiny camera has great reviews whoever you research it with. For a 10MP camera you have to grab it before it's too late! HD video capture to 720P. Store Manager said stocks are really low and will be gone (if not already) by tomorrow from most stores! Latest update: most shops now sold out...move fast!!

Sadly the picture quality is below par, the sound on video's is awful, and the menu system a nightmare.
Still for the money this might suit some people.

I agree with all the above.I was gutted with this purchase.

I agree too, i got one for £99 from Kodak and it was pants so it went back

The £179.99 price is made up i think :whistling:

For a 10 mega pixel camera you just have to grab it before it's too late

Why ?

Megapixels dont make a good camera !!

The point is that for £79 there is not a better camera available, not everyone can afford a camera of a professional. Please let us all know if there is a better deal going for this kind of money....

Hmm i bet there is, the Kodak is pants

...and that is my point Tomb. Everywhere you look you will find positive reviews saying what a good camera this is, only difference now is that it's also a fraction of the reviews prices! :whistling:

But i have had the camera !

And it was bloody awful , pics were noisy, video was poor, menus were not intuitive

Reviewers often get pre-release cameras to test

...and we're still waiting for someone to suggest a better deal! Maybe you should educate us all on what camera you now own deano (for the same price range I hope). Not many people today have stupid money to blow on a camera...the actual holiday costs enough!

Ive got the Casio Z1080 that cost £79.99 from Comet.

Dont get offended but im speaking from experience i didnt like the Kodak at all, the battery life was also poor

Maybe mine was duff i dunno

EDIT: Looked on you tube , you can see it has trouble when panning a, same problem i had

Fair comparison if they had it on sale there...which they don't. If there are any camera experts out there that would like to adjudicate on the better deal then please comment.

For a 10MP point and shoot I think this is great - it has a 3" screen and is able to record HD video. I own one of these and would recommend it and I paid £50 more for this before Xmas. For those picking faults I can't see any hotter camera deal for this weekend - anyone?

I also bought one & am happy with it. (Got mine from Cdiscount when on offer for just over £70).

The HD video is a nice step up from the ususal camera video quality. I didnt think there was any problem with the audio from the video but then I suppose this depends on your expectations. Its a compact camera & sound is never going to be a selling point.

I've not noticed any issues with excessive noise in any pics I've taken but again I'm basing my expectations on a sub £100 camera which has the benifit of better than normal video (great for capturing the kids on).

Heres a pic taken at the weekend at the Balmoral races. (Cant figure out how to link to it so its full size).

The proof of the pudding as they say! Not much more can be said after that picture :whistling: I think this will yet get very hot...a bit of a sleeper!

That is an abysmal video shoot... Even my Casio Exilim 5MP camera does a better job at recording video than that! And my camera is a few years old

this is much better. Quite good resolution too. Not full 30 FPS i take it?

Awful picture - too much lycra!

Seriously, there's a great range of options out there now for 80 quid and Kodak doesn't get the best reviews. I'm not voting because I really don't know this particular camera but I suggest looking at others too and don't get carried away with specifications on paper.

Personal preferrence based on previous experience would be to look at Casio and Panasonic first.

I think is a good price. Heat added.

I own a 12MP Kodak and have to say that I do like it. I had 3 Olympus digital cameras before that one 1.3MP, 4MP and 5MP. The colours in the Kodak are a lot nicer than the Olympus ones.

The quality of the pictures if the battery is full are brilliant, I simply love it, my model has the Green Laser for dark shootings which is brilliant.
Mine does record at 720p as well and the videos are quite nice, a lot better than my normal camcorder, it's just a shame that the format is .mov, not very easy to watch everywhere, you would have to convert them, etc.

Overall my camera V1233 is very nice I loved it, I did pay a lot more for it when it came out.

The SW of the camera could be a bit better though, when you turn it on it does take a bit to turn on, and swaping between videos and photo mode is not inmediate. But overall I am happy with the camera. And the menu is not that obvious, but I guess you could always read the manual or learn the hard way.

I think this camera is pretty much the same as mine only difference the 10MP, so for this price I think is very good. To be honest the difference between mine 12MP and this one 10MP is probably almost none.

not bad price but for an extra £10 at most you can pick up an ixus80 or a panny dmc fs3 now, which are superb compact cameras

edit: well you could a month or so ago, seem to have gone back up now :s
