Following the expired deal last week for the black version the purple has now been reduced to this price. Cheapest on the net atm for this camera... great for the holidays in and around the pool !

i know i will give in to the temptation to buy this soon...
However, I did see a more expensive (£177) camera the "Sanyo VPC-WH1EYL" which is also waterproof and had some good footage on youtube. but again mixed reviews on its ability to survive underwater. other features were powerful zoom and good close up focus - see videos:

One reviewer also states the new sanyo doesnt have widescreen footage. Seems a bit odd in todays day and age :-/
Now OOS from amazon so will expire
how trust worthy are 'buyacamera'? I see they offer 2 year guarantee or 3 year for extra 9.99. The cameras are in stock for £109.99.
Theyre a good company m8... i had no probs with the first 2 i got from them. A guy called Chris there seems very helpful and processed my refund including 2x return postage with no hastle.

PS im now on my 5th, yes 5th, camera and ready to give up after my hols. Serious problem with low light white dots on EVERY model ive had. I suspect a flaw in the camera itself that Kodak are keep quiet about. TBH if all units are like this they would have to recall them all and design a new camera. However they are bloody good in outdoor light i must admit... shame really.

i've got one of these, great camera, better than my jvc hdd camcorder
Out of stock at Amazon so I got it at Pixmania for the exact same price (I've never bought from there so I'm not sure if that was a good idea or not)
Just hope you dont get any probs with pixmania dude... if all goes well with the camera youre ok, if you get any probs then good luck as they trade totally different than a UK based company.

PS the black one is still in stock at Amazon. Id personally buy through Amazon just for their excellent customer service and returns. Not that i had a prob with buyacamera but the likes of pixmania or any DSG group company then Amazon all the way. Shame they have limited colours available atm.
