I'm the same, on bright days it's very annoying trying to use the screen + it wastes battery power.

I have a Fuji S5700 (10X Optical) that has a view finder, I got mine from Fuji Refurbs for about £65 a year ago, great camera.

Hmm, I wouldn't be fooled by the pics on flikr I looked at this cam long and hard before finally going for a Lumix TZ5. You need to look at full size images not the cropped ones on flikr even basic digi cam photos will look great at that res.

I'll try and find the link to the sample photo site they did not impress at all, quite blurred and a lot of barrel distortion/noise/chormatic errors. Just google it...

Not bad for the price but if you want a quality cam I'd recommend the Lumix TZ5 which can be had for around £150 and is an amazing cam which has won several industry awards.

Me too. I am regularly banging on about the optical viewfinder - specially if you're at that age when reading glasses needed but normal vision OK

Those Flikr pics are not taken by this camera!!!! - Read the info on the flikr page.

29 in stock. the price is £79.98 with 5-day free delivery.

However, the battery is a problem and most cost-effective way is to buy 2 crv3 chargeable batteries and charger for around £13 from ebay. so the effective cost is around £93.

Had decided to get this for my wifes birthday but the battery has put me off, if it was AA's I would buy it like a shot, can't be bothered with yet another charger (already have 4 in the house!)

EDIT
Supported Battery 2 x AA lithium battery ( optional ) ?30;¦ 1 x CR-V3 lithium battery ( included ) ?30;¦ 1 x Kodak KLIC 8000 Li-ion rechargeable battery ( optional )

Does this mean I can use AA batteries if I want?
