Where can I buy one of those dogs?
#5
Sweet! A nice price for what seems to be a very decent HD camcorder.

Hot gadget! Hope its MAC compatible.

Not a hot deal yet though; I'll wait till its been out a awhile and the price war starts.

Hi Guys,

I was going to be drive a HD camcorder and was told by John Lewis staff not to as they will be come redundant in the very near future. They are likely to crash much more and also new camcorders with SD memory are releasing into the market.

Thanks

No, no, HD here means High Def, not Hard Drive. This uses SD memory.

Not bad for this price, however, is there any restriction on the duration of video you can captured?
Some other product do have a restriction such as 5 mins at 720p quality.

I can see clearly now my brain is on:roll: Thanks Wicked Lester:whistling:

From what I've read it looks like an 8GB card should give you just over 2 hours of video.

If I had any criticism of this device, it'd be that it's mono only. That seems like a bit of a let down for a HD device.

Still, very tempted.

It's superb. The absolute top end comsumer HD (1080p) is 2MP. The resolution of this thing is on a par with all the HD broadcasts available in the country.

Not sure about the camera but the dog is FANTASTIC!!

Yup, and also HDD is hard disk drive.

AS for this Zi6 I read a 2gb card will give you around 40 mins of vid at the 30fps setting and the 60fps setting will give half that.

The only bummer I can think of is the lack of optical zoom, but for the price and ability to use standard AA batteries is a n excellent product for the price.

hmmm i have been waiting on something like this for a while.
Just looked at the sample video and the quality of the video is very nice, audio seems decent also.
60fps shooting would be great for sports capture/slow motion action. It even has a slow motion playback
feature on the camera - very cool feature.
The only thing that would stop me from buying this is the lack of anti shake. It is very difficult to record handheld video without anti shake. the resulting videos are not to my liking at all. would be fine if you were recording from a tripod or something but thats kinda limiting.

Why? Heat shouldn't be an indication.
