OP - thanks for posting.
Kohinoor and Tilda are top Indian brands for basmati rice. Would not expect plastic rice from them !
Try the one below which I believe is equally good if not better.

Plastic rice bounces. Once cooked, press into a ball. If it bounces it is plastic. If it splatters, so to say, it's normal. Only eat brown rice anyway.

So many hoax out there.. especially saying the blue version is plastic. I had kohinoor gold, silver and blue version and can confirm theyre real :)
Big fan of kohinoor since tilda is way too expensive. Its a good purchase
