Kota the Triceratops is the all new life-size children's ride-able toy dinosaur. Featuring sophisticated electronics, animatronics and design, this 'life-size' baby dinosaur 'comes to life' creating a magical experience for preschoolers. Measuring over 40 inches long, Kota the Triceratops reacts to touch and sound with realistic dinosaur noises and movements.

Featuring sensors in eleven areas on his body, Kota will react to touch by moving his head, tail and horns or giving a friendly dino roar. With Kota the Triceratops children will enjoy the simulated experience of 'riding' a dinosaur; kids can ride comfortably on his back in a spring-loaded seat, holding onto a handle hidden behind the dinosaur's head. Children will be magically transported to an adventure in dinosaur land while 'riding' Kota and will hear fun jungle sounds. Kids can also flip a switch on the handle to play adventure-themed songs while enjoying their prehistoric journey. Kota the Triceratops comes complete with leafy greens that the dinosaur will 'munch' when 'fed' and like a good friend, Kota will roar back when spoken to.

Man my little girl wants this bad this xmas. Cant justify something that price thats gonna be a room filler, and a large one at that, after a couple of days of play. Made that mistake with a rocking horse lol - doomed to the garage now !

Great price though seeing as its advertised on telly @ £299.
#3
The adverts on TV must be good, my little boy wants one too.

Great price, but I'm still going to try and talk him out of it.
#4
well its $300 in the states...

£224.95 from John Lewis (also free delivery)
#6
That's a good price, I'll take 6...

OMG! Where are you going to put these things? They are HUGE!! Seriously cute though.
#7
My little lad wants one too.... I want one too... but cannot justify its price tag (since it doesnt appear to do that much)
Ive noticed this is cheaper on debenhams.... but the best price is:
littlewoods direct - Ok - its £250 but its also on 3 for 2 - So that makes it £500 for 3 - Dont forget your £30 voucher for a new customer = £470 then 8% quidco = £432.40 for 3!!!! So about £144.13 each. (Know any neigbours who want to buy there kids this...)

Well looking at eBay sales they seem to fetch in the region of £240 plus postage. If you fancy yourself as a bit of an entrepreneur you could take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer stick 2 on ebay @ £199 each BiN and you could end up with a very cheap, very impressive Christmas present. Kind of tempted myself!
#9
I was tempted too to stick on ebay - but the size of them etc.... (more hassle than its worth)
#10
There must be some sort of secret messages on the tv adverts as my son want one too.

I told him I'd recreate Jurassic Park in the back garden ... It would probably work out cheaper :whistling:
#11
If your son is like mine - he has got it into his head is having one from santa..... (and a dinsaur called spike from ELC) Santa needs to start working a bit of overtime.... (I think I will be buying him the cheaper option from ELC)
#12
If you haven't anywhere to put them then it could be a hassle but I reckon the potential saving would be worth it. I haven't looked at the figures but after fees you would be looking at less than £100... potentially less if you let the auction run.
#13
You dont live near Leeds do you - I will buy one off you???

our youngest told us on Sunday he wanted a Dinosaur and had seen this one at costco and a one in Target on holiday. As everyone says it will be one of those that presents that doesnt get used. Had a look at Spike in ELC this is excellent same one we saw in Target but you guessed it not £129 over there but $79. And they say we dont live in rip off Britain.
#15
Get them in 3 for 2 at littlewoods £250 each so £500 for 3 making it £170ish each plus any discount vouchers you may have for them like 10% off making it even cheaper and sell the other 2 hehe.

At $79 that is a steal.... I too thought £125 was overpriced - but since there is always a voucher code for 20% off - I didnt think £100 was as bad (still feel its overpriced though - but he has his heart set on at least one dinosaur)

For me the customer service at Amazon is second to none (a lot better than Plays IMHO) and its delivered and placed in the house and un-packed by Amazons couriers and they take away the packaging.. worth the small diffrence you mention to me.
