With the tyrannical Chancellor Dongalor imposing his sadistic rule over the Meconian Empire, only one man will stand up to the despot in the name of freedom; a blacksmith's son named Krod Mandoon. This fantasy adventure takes every sword and sorcery cliche in the book and lovingly lampoons it to great comic effect. The highly original six-part series features hilarious performances by Sean Maguire (MEET THE SPARTANS) as the reluctant hero, and Matt Lucas (LITTLE BRITAIN) as the evil Dongalor. With a superb supporting cast of bumbling freedom fighters including the beautiful if loose pagan warrioress Aneka (India de Beaufort), the oafish Loquasto (Steve Speirs), inexperienced warlock Zezelryck (Kevin Hart), and the flamboyant Bruce (Marques Ray). Together the group battle against bounty hunters, a bisexual cyclops, succubi, and bad hair days.

Special Features:

* Behind the scenes with Kevin Hart
* Cast interviews
* Out takes
* Deleted scenes
* Extended scenes
* Alternative opening

Funniest thing I've seen in aaaaaaaages, with a very attractive main female lead...

I gave up after the first episode was shown. I did not rate the programme at all. This must be the first difference of opinion we've had on your deal listings, andywedge.

...but yes, India (de) Beau(fort) has grown up in the right places since she starred alongside Basil Brush (by way of a part in "Run Fatboy Run").

...and that's what's so great about it... The best worst series I've seen in a long time. Cliched, silly nonsense and doing a damn great job of it too. Thoroughly enjoyable :-)

Bring on another series :-)

Hilariously bad, fingers crossed for a second series! :thumbsup:

isn't it worth watching to see how sexy and buff Sean Mcguire has become?
#7

Try "Meet the Spartans" instead... that was at least funny for the right reasons (in a few places).

It also has Carmen Electra for the one(s) that care [EDIT: worded as intended].

That just says that Comedy Central have pulled out, the BBC did say that it was cancelled because of this, but then retracted their statement 3 days later, so the BBC could be going it alone who knows...

This is one of the most hilarious series I've ever seen! I missed it on the BBC and had to catch up on iPlayer in one big go before it expired. Definitely worth ordering imo
