Following on from the Becks offer, Tesco now have 18 x 300ml bottles of Kronenbourg 1664 for £7.74.

This works out at £1.43 per litre / 81p per pint.

This Kronenbourg 1664 is not imported, but is a 5% ABV lager brewed under license in the UK.

Tesco also have a number of cases of beers on a 2 for £16 offer until 29/06/08. Included in this offer is Boheme 1795, 20 x 330ml bottles. This is a 4.7% lager brewed for Tesco in the Czech Republic and is okay, though certainly not the best imported Czech lager you can buy. It works out at £1.21 per litre / 69p per pint.

All Tesco stores that stock it are selling 4 x 440ml cans of Boheme for £2.00 This works out at £1.14 per litre / 65p per pint. Obviously this is a little cheaper that buying the cases of bottles, but there seems to be two things to consider. First, it's cans and cans are always cheaper - most people would say because the beer does not taste as good as it does out of bottles. Second, the canning apparently takes place in Holland, which really can't help.

Sure, so the question is whether to buy Boheme in cans for 65p per pint, or in bottles for 69p per pint. Either way it's a good deal.

nail on the head mate, same old cr*p, different packaging.

serioulsy guys, you want a decent beer, spend the £££ for a decent beer from Belgium, Czech Republic or Germany.

The "brewed in the UK" p*sh just ain't what it's at.

You are wrong of course. ****** UK brewed pishwater isn't the pinnacle of brewing tradition. By god these breweries are doing well churning out any old pish to the likes of you. JUST SAY NO!!!

Correct :)
I'm planner for the site where the Kronenbourg is packaged, and my job to order the materials.
All promotional packs have been used up and are out there on the shelves, so don't miss out on the free freezer glass.

If its brewed in the UK it is not Kronenburg 1664. It is a good deal but I would rather pay the extra for the genuine imported 1664. Imported Stella,Carlsberg etc are all far superior to the brewed in the UK. Under licence means that the manufacturer has not produced it, therefore IT IS NOT THE REAL THING

Nice one, bought this on Thursday and was charged twice for it, so got double the money back. So free beer = tastes good despite not being the 'proper' stuff ;-)
