Krug Grande Cuvee £59.99 @ Tescos

Krug Grande Cuvee which you will never find below £100 is for some inexplicable reason marked as £79.98 at Tescos

BARGAIN!

Whats more, it is included in the Buy 6 bottles get 25% off deal. So when purchased with 5 other bottles of wine/champagne/port they come to £59.99 per bottle!!!!!!!

This is an unbelievable price.

This was in the Clapham Tescos, there was only one empty box on the shelf but they assured my they had plenty in stock out back (you collect the bottles from customer services)

Label didnt show any kind of reduction or offer, just normal price so I assume it nationwide, although its NOT online.

Go on everyone, treat yourself. Krug is unlike other brands of champagne, its what all champagne should be.

Whoa! We are definitely not on the same pay scale..:))
The best I can do is to have a look at what the bottle looks like, but I certainly can't afford to spend that amount of money for booze..
#6
Dunno how you can drink this cheap stuff...Have you tried Diamond White or Frosty Jacks? :p
#7
Personally I prefer Asda own brand, £1.21 for 2 Ltr. I could get 132 Ltrs from Asda for what it would cost you for 1 bottle of Krug!
#8
Bargain - but I'll have to wait 'till it's on a three for £10 offer.
#9
Wow. Amazing price!!! Very good find!

What a shame it's not online and I'm sure it will be store specific!

Really , care to explain , cause i can for sure taste the difference from a cheap bottle to an expensive one.

None in the Purley store :-(
#17
Noticed earlier that Norwich Sprowston store had one on the shelf, down to £80 from £100 I think - and as I was buying wedding wine anyway I thought I might as well grab one of these as have yet to try it!

I could get several thousand gallons of water for what it costs you for Asda own brand.

Good price for Krug. Unfortunately none in my local Tesco :(

Would have been great for a birthday we got coming up.

What's the year by the way?

PS, congratulations for achieving heat on HUKD for this kind of product.

Just Krug Grand Cuvee, doesn't have a year on it.

And yes, this was always a hopeful 'deal'. Its a half price Ferrari, still costs way more than most other cars but it depends if you think the difference is worth it.

Honestly, I'm sure most people reading this have never been overly impressed by champagne; its overpriced and something that you 'should enjoy'. I was the same, champagne was so so, and frankly i'd prefer a nice glass of red wine most of the time. That was until I tried Krug, i was lucky enough to get to try it a a party i was invited to, its a really lovely drink, like no champagne I've tried before. If you have any interest in tasting nice wines/champagnes/food/drinks I suggest you give this a try while its £60, yes, its a huge amount of money for a bottle of anything but for a special gift or celebratory gift its unbeatable. Dont drink cava because you think you should, taste the best that the champagne region has to offer.

I know there's a recession on but a treat like this is what will keep you going.

Thanks AddictWeb. Bought one yesterday.

Just thought I should mention: The store I got this from had none on the shelf "for security reasons" and I had to ask someone to check stock and get me one from their locked storeroom. Worth the wait though. If the shelf's empty, I'd recommend asking customer services for help.

Tesco stock products like this in relation to the affluence of the area the shop is located in. Don't expect this in all Tesco stores.

A great deal for a great Champagne however, hot.

Amazing that people spent £60 on a bottle of water! Elixir?? People really have got to get their perspective right!

One born every day comes to mind!

aren't the critics (ie those paid for their opinions) usually choosing the cheaper champagnes as better tasting products now?
guess if this is the only kind you drink then its a good but but if not then you're better buying a well reviewed supermarket brand which will perhaps appeal to more peoples tastes anyway.
hot price though i guess.

Having had the good fortune to try this wonderful drop on a number of occasions, and get quite drunk on it on the company dollar a few years ago, I can attest that it is magnificent, however, it is not the be all and end all. £60 is probably a fair price for it all told, and I personally wouldn't pay that much for a bottle of wine (I tend to top out at around £30 for special occasions). Good deal, but not amazing.

It isn't Krug, but this is is a really similar taste from Le Bon Vin, it is almost £40 a bottle, unless you buy 6 (with delivery to be added to that, or collection from Sheffield). The bubbles are smaller, and it has a really delicate taste. http://www.lebonvin.co.uk/quick_search.php?keyword=blanc+de+blancs&colour=Any+Colour&country=Any+Country&price=Any+Price&submit.x=0&submit.y=0

Think I'll stick to Thatchers Gold Cider!
#29
I wonder if they have any offers on 1907 Heidsieck[B].
Best price I could find is £200,000 a bottle, now, if it's 25% off a case that would save me £300,000, surely one of HUKD's highest savings to date!

Exactly! Paying this much for booze makes no sense to me at all. Still a good deal though I suppose!

The asterisk denotes that the product is discontinued, thus could be the reason for the reduction in price. Mind on W&S discontinued products are store specific.

Don't forgot that you can exchange your Clubcard vouchers for twice their face value for special vouchers to spend on champagne in-store - so you could get this for half the shelf price! You can get the champagne vouchers (and also applies to wines etc) online

http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=907&bci=4294965087|wine%20%26%20Champagne

takes 5 working days.

And in some stores they can do immediate exchange at Customer Service Desk.

had to vote Hot as its a good deal for the product...

But I was going to say something along the lines of anyone that can afford it won't be looking here on Hotukdeals.............

How wrong was I.... gobsmacked how many peeps on here have been wafting away £100 shampoo:w00t:

The deal is a deal, so deserves the heat, but its in effect far 'worse' if thatsthe right word...thatn the half price ferrari..... If you buy that, you still have a half price ferrari that could well appreciate, and you get the enjoyment of driving every day etc.... with this opulence you only get momentary enjoyment and as has been said above , it all comes out the same way LOL...

Not dissing the deal, I'd Love to be able to try and enjoy it, but if I could afford it, I doubt I'd be here

Enjoy....:-D

Great price.
I wonder what the people who feel that this is crazy, spend their money on. Expensive mobile phone contracts because the phone looks nicer. Going out on the pop 3 nights a week. Branded clothes because a mate has them.
Personally I drink fairly rarely, but when I do I like to enjoy it. Whether that is a couple of pints or a bottle of bubbly.
I try to not waste money on expensive fashion items including the expensive contracts for phones or Sky tv. I have a good standard of living but I choose how to spend my money wisely for my needs.
Please allow everybody no matter what their circumstances to choose a bargain for their needs.
P.S. Ferrari's plummet in price. But if you are buying one half price it is still a deal for you.
Good spot thanks.

MUMM is 20 pounds ... why KRUG ....did it better than MUMM ??:-D
#36
At least the people who spend their money on clothes, phones etc can still use them after they've paid for them!
IMO Anyone who wants to spend 60 quid on booze thats gone in 10 minutes needs their head looking at! It's not like it's a fine scotch that you can savour over a few months!!! :)
Nah, to be fair, if you wanna buy it then buy it. Who am I to tell you how to spend your money!
#37
Amazing price, top draw bubbly.
#38
Great price, just picked up a case from the Silverburn store :)
#39
Does it come with a gram of coke?? :-D
#40
This is nothing more than a cheap rip off of Cava!

Cava is for connoisseurs, Krug is for Chavs

PS Only the French would invent a drink that rhymes with slug!
