Very good quality bike d-lock / u-lock. Currently much cheaper than any other sources I can find with free p&p. now back to 53.99, if I could work out how to expire via the mobile app, I would. Read More

Arghhhhhhh I JUST bought a new lock! Incredible deal though!

Looks good, but I won't bother since it still costs £18 more than I paid for my bike...

bought one. Thanks! Now waiting for a bike deal......

Great lock! They're usually 50 on Amazon

oooh i need a new lock but i'm uuming and aaahing about this. The bracket to attach to your frame is really important to me but amazon reviews saying its not great with this model.

sod it. just bought it. Seems biggest thing is peace of mind. I'll deal with the consequences of a naff bracket. Thanks OP.

Are kyrptonite locks better than others? Genuinely curious as i have always made do with bell branded d locks or just chain and padlock - would be interested to hear opinions and experiences.

Not sure about the lock but Fatbirds are great.

ordered 5 to lock my wife for weekends!!!

A really good lock - one of the most secure for bikes (meets the Sold Secure Gold standard), but its a weighty thing to carry around; about 4.5 llb. or near enough 2kg. This is a great price too - available elsewhere around £45 to £50 with a rrp of about £80. Hot from me!

Easier to steal New York. But it's also nearly as heavy to carry around.

Not as easy as the circular key New Yorks recalled a good few years back. The one I had replaced by Kryptonite could be broken into very easily with a biro!!

Similar products..but with lower prices..? Any recommendatio s?

I've had a Kryptonite D-lock for more than 15 years now. It uses a circular key - is the lock really easy to pick? oO

Apparently doesn't affect all Kryptonite locks with circular keys but it will open a fair few of them. A few videos on youtube showing how easy it is, one of which is:

Youtube 'kryptonite bic pen' may well answer your question.

This is a great lock. Had mine for a couple of years now. Brought off Amazon. Agree with other post, its quite heavy though so i leave mine at work in our bike racks.

Definitely recommend them.

Save your self the trouble and don't bother with the bracket. I thought I'd give it a try and after only a few hours use it came loose and my lock started swinging about... the lock is also really noisy when even riding over the tiniest bumps!

I ended up taking off the metal bit on the lock that slotted into the stupid bracket (just need to loosen a little allen bolt thing and it slides right off) and now it lives in my backpack.

The lock its self is great. If the key doesn't want to turn (happens sometimes) don't force it. Just make sure the keys in properly ^^
