KTC Coconut Oil 500ml £1.50 @ Morrisons

£1.50 @ Morrisons
Seems like a good price for this. My daughter uses it for making beauty products. ....but fairly sure it's edible as well. Shared Via The HUKD App For Android. Read More

This stuff is a waste of time if you want it for the health side. Its refined and not cold pressed. Need to buy unrefined organic coconut oil for that.

was it in food aisle or cosmetics?

Great stuff, some people cook with it, others rub into their dry skin and my barber recommended I slap it on my thinning barnet =:)

Good find, heat added.

Great for getting a suntan. 8) Here come the cancer brigade.

good price, it is normally 2.25 in Tesco.

It is the only oil I cook with (very heat stable), it is very good for your health, and it also doubles up as a beauty product.

you can use it as it is on the skin, on the hair.... it even does wonders as a lubricant.

I use it in making more fancy body butters, and soap. Not as nice as the organic extra virgin coconut oil, but.... good price.

suntan (in moderation) prevents cancer. and using coconut oil instead of sunscreen is a really good idea. Put some clothes on before your skin burns though.

Ah, good info. The refined will contain trans fats then. Definitely best to get unrefined

Good to massage in the head and scalp when slightly warmed up in the microwave. Wash hair after about a hour.

Yes I agree. I massage it into my head also. Both of them sometimes.

Good for ezcema and dry skin conditions..

I'ts cheap because its for frying, for beauty benefits expect to pay around £3 for 200g. Cold pressed organic works better compared to a rubbish conditioner for same price, worth every penny. 200g Lasts me 3-4 months :) I use it for deep conditioning, skin and nail moisturising. I would never use KTC on my skin, unless you want the benefit of looking and smelling like you work in a tropical chip shop but I hear that's favourable some places :S

It is £1.50 @ Tesco all the time as well, stocked next to World food products like big bags of rice and big bottles of oil.

I get very dry, flaky skin on my face so rub organic coconut oil in straight after the shower.

Works just as well, if not better than any of The Body Shop rubbish, and has a lot less chemicals in

Coconut oil may well have health benefits, but we should all be sceptical about those claims until proven. Unfounded claims and pseudoscience are a scourge of the Internet.

Coconut is a great conditioner for hair, just massage into the scalp and all over the hair and leave over night :)

It is great as a body moisture too, I massage my 12 week old baby in coconut oil every night. IT leaves skin soft and nourished.

I use it in my baking and cooking too - cakes, curries etc :)

I have been using it for years
I use it because my hair was very flaky I swear by it and if it goes on your clothes it washes out

This stuff is highly refined and NOT healthy. Chemicals are used to extract the oil and may have been hydrogenated by the manufacturer meaning this contains trans fat, not the healthy saturated fats associated with "virgin coconut oil"

This stuff has great health benefits, I've been using it as a contraceptive for years. Slather it all over my bits and never got someone pregnant yet! Maybe it's because it puts the women right off sleeping with me.

my missus just rubs it in her hair after every wash. its 100% pure coconut oil. unlike the cosmetics that claim to be coconut oil and are loaded with parabens and silicones. I think boots does soemthing like a 50ml bottle of 'coconut oil' for ike 3 quid and its loaded with other nasty stuff. this is 100% pure oil.
