Just thought I would re-vamp my previous deal. It's gone up 60p for 20l, but it's still cheap!

For 73p per litre this stuff is a bargain! I run my diesel car on it and it saves me 47p per litre on fuel! Thats over £30 a tank!!! I fill up every week so in effect it's saving me over £1500 per year.

I have done over 20,000 miles on this stuff and the motor runs lovely.

Also cheap for cooking with I suppose!

WORD OF WARNING - CHECK THAT YOU CAR CAN RUN ON THIS STUFF BEFORE PUTTING IT IN.

If you have a modern diesel, you can almost certainly forget about it.

I bought a brand new Isuzu Rodeo Denver 3.0TD last year

I can get hold of this stuff for £14.00 per 20l barrel, as a lot of my clients go through this like water.....actually, probably more than water lol

I rand my old 250D Merc fo a couple of years on the Lidls Veggie Oil. Unfortunately it went from 45p to over a £1 so I sold it.
It ran trouble free just a tad smelly for those behind.
I now drive a MERC 220 CDI Auto that gives me 40MPG anyway so I can't complain. But too high Tec for veggie oil.

What? No self righteous bstards moaning about no fuel duty being paid on this if you run your car on it?

What's going on?!

Well, to cut them off at the pass, you are legally allowed to use 2500l per year for use as fuel. How the hell anyone knows if you've used over 2500l is beyond me!

do you add anything to the veg oil then or run it neat?

No, I just bung it straight in. Runs smoother and smells good too!

Hmmm - i'll have to get me a diesel...
what do you sugest as a worthy buy?
#16
Foxy what car you got.I have an HDI Citroen which won't run on veg oil or at least thats what most say,But i also have an older Mazda pickup which iv'e just bought some veg oil today from Morrisons to try in it.

My dad runs a 1996 Golf TDI, and I have a 1994 Toyota Estima Emina (Jap Import). Both run perfectly on it.
#18
Whether cars can run on it very much depends on the age of the vehicle and the make of fuel pump. Older cars have less refined fuel injection systems which allow 'lumpier' fuel through. Nippon and Bosch pumps are good for veggie oil.

If you're not too fussed and the car is a banger, try it out gradually (it's what I did).

I think it would be a bit too far for you unfortunately, as I sort it out for £14 including delivery in London.

can you mix veg oil and diesel in the tank?

I did that time but some say its better to mix before putting it in the car,

I can only go by what I found works. I put about a tenners worth of diesel in an empty tank (in the summer) and then just fill the rest up with veggie. Straight in the tank, no mixing before.

I run my 205 1.8 diesel on oil as it has a bosch pump added a domestic boiler flat plate heat exchanger which warms the oil to around 50 degrees mind you its best during cold months to run no mre than 50% veg oil or you'll never get started

Hi all
I have a isuzu rodeo denver 2003, 3.0 turbo. Di (direct injection)
I am about to trial Veg oil in it. Im going to mix it 3/4 diesel and 1/4 veg oil and see how it goes.
Any recomendations?
I have researched a fair bit on the net, it seems that straight veg needs to be heated first then switched to the engine, then on completion of the of the trip it needs to be washed through with diesel (prevent the pipes clogging (veg going think due to it being cold)
I will ty and keep you all informed.
