EXTRAS: Documentaries 'From Grasshopper To Caine: Creating Kung Fu' (25mins) and 'The Tao of Caine: Production and Beyond' (20mins). Original promotional TV spot.
The time is the 1870s. The place is the American Southwest and in flashbacks, China. The stories follow Kwai Chang Caine (David Carradine), Schooled in the spirit-mind-body Shaolin priesthood by the blind, avuncular Master Po and the stern yet loving Master Kan. Caine speaks softly but hits hard. He lives humbly yet knows great contentment. He is the Old West's most unusual hero. But hero is not a word Caine would use. He would simply say, "I am a man." This release features all the episodes from Season One of Kung Fu.

What a great series. Brings back happy memories. I remember ITV at first only showed this in certain regions and word got round about it so much that people who lived in regions where it wasn't shown used to go to their mates house in a region that did show it just to watch the show. Trivia, I know, but maybe the young uns may not know just how popular this series was.
