No one took him away, but himself.

Legend for mostly wrong reasons :( . Great artist, such a shame he decided it wasn't worth it!

Heat for price, saw the program on TV a while back and was glued to it.

Heat.

Next month it'll be 17 years since he shuffled off this mortal coil. Damn I feel old right about now...

Unless it was Courtney Love... (ooh, conspiracy theory!)
Not bad - I also noticed there were some AC/DC DVDs in my local PoundLand, one of them called 'The Bon Scott Years' (another legend who died too young).

To save you buying this, here's Kurt Cobain's biography.

Formed a band, had one half-decent hit single, released a load of other songs that sounded just like it, topped himself.

There, saved you all a quid!

I gather you are referring to 'Smells like Teen Spirit' as the half-decent single? It's OK but nowhere near as good as 'All Apologies', 'Polly', 'Rape Me', 'About a girl', 'Come as you are'.etc Cobain openly said he hated 'Teen Spirit'. one of the reasons why he killed himself was that he could nto deal with the way Nirvana had come part of the corporate machine, everything the band where against. However he wanted people to hear his music and he did not know how to tread that fine line. Foo Fighters do it pretty well and that is down to the lessons Dave Grohl learnt from the death of his friend.

Unfortunately the irony now is that Nirvana and Cobain have now become a brand image like a Ramones T-Shirt, or Coca Cola and it personaly makes me sick to my stomach. Exploiting a dead mans image :(

Anyway I vote HOT :)
