No bit hit and miss with them, so went straight for dunhelm. Last time I went to tk max I found some nice Ralph Lauren jeans for a tenner....... Then nothing since, think you just have to be lucky.

Have you used the bialetti pot, if so, how does this compare to that?

Not used the bialetti pot but looks the same design, it just works with pressure which evenly distrabutes the water instead of dripping machines. Let's just say I've had alot of coffee machines and this is by far the best coffee I have had on par with Costa/ Starbucks and other well known coffee shops and thats saying something.

Word of warning, don't put it on a high heat, slowly boil the water otherwise it will shoot out hot scolding water at you. Low and slow and watch that black gold flow...... Fascinating and so simple!!

Thanks ninnax2010. I bought the 3 cup one.

Care to share your recipe i.e water, grind settings etc?

Grind = expresso (compacted about 3mm from top)
Water = 1-2mm below safety valve
Medium heat

Take off heat just after last spurt

Use for latte/ American you know the rest.

Bean by preference but I think the stronger the better. Ive had 3 coffees since this response for 2 people perfect every time.

Glad I've help someone get there caffeine fix.

Thanks niknax.

I have the hario mini mill was wondering how many clicks i'd need for the moka grind..

To speed things up, wouldn't it be easier to boil the water in an electric kettle and then on the stovetop have the heat on the lowest setting?

Not tried the boil before I just let it do its thing. And no idea on the mill grind as have a bodrum electric grinder for the beans. Just cut it as fine as possible.

Moka is just combine your cocoa powder with the expresso first then just add the frothy milk last. The amount of expresso = strength preference, add all for strong... yarda yarda
