fabulous deal. Scorching from me!

The food in the La Tascas that I have visited has been dired. All microwaved. You can tell as it is boiling hot when it comes out but goes cold very quickly.

Terrible food, but probably a decent deal if you're a fan!

Does microwaved food observe different laws of physics than other food?

Went along last week to the one on regents park! It was busy, but the service was still very good.
You can order up to 3 tapas per person at each time and then when you finish them you order more. The misses and i got through 12 plates and had to waddle home!

It's a reduced menu, but lots of fish, prawns, chorizo, chicken salad etc...

When you put cold food in the microwave and heat it, it heats from the outside inwards. If it's not heated for long enough it won't be hot all the way through and hence it will be steaming hot on the outside but after a few forkfulls will be cooler inside. Perhaps that's what he meant?

Also, I'm pretty sure that La Tasca don't have a policy of serving microwaved food. It's been freshly made whenever I've been there. However, this surely depends on the individual restaurant and the staff working there?

Last time this offer was on I visited the Nottingham restaurant and I really wouldn't recommend it. Waited over an hour for our first lot of food and it was the same for everyone there. Not really a good deal if you can't actually get any food!

I waited this long last time I went on a normal weekend evening as well, won't be going again!

Yeah microwaved food does that unlike food cooked in an oven - Oh wait NO IT DOESN'T

You've got it the wrong way round. Food in a conventional oven will heat from the outside inwards; food in a microwave will heat below the surface (though not necessarily all the way to the middle) because the microwaves will not all be absorbed at the surface but will penetrate to a certain extent.

Perhaps what is happening is that it is assumed that microwaved food is going to be heated instantly so it's not heated for long enough.

Yucky =p

As mentioned by previous posters, absolutely awful food. Good deal if you are very hungry I suppose.

I did think about this when I saw the email from them last week but being La Tasca I thought it was just a ploy to get you in and then try to sell you a bunch of other crap once you get there.

Go to a proper all you can eat, where the restaurant can handle the customer numbers and the demand for food. There are "classy" all you can eats in most places nowadays. From my experience, and as it seems the experience of others, at La Tasca you'll only end up waiting ages for mediocre food. :(

Have been to 3 branches and all were awful. One in particular we complained and got our money back as we couldn't even eat it. Didn't look appetising but thought we'd try it (wish we hadn't)
I wouldn't go there again even if it was free!

Yeah, clearly...duhhh!

Also, it tastes like **** when it's been reheated in this manner - especially when the one nearest you, in my case Silverburn Shopping Centre, can't even get the food hot.
