Its not very clear on the website. 1TB single disks is very costly and so assume that they are using 2 disks and if that is the case than it should be Raid
Voting hot, as price is good... however the hardware is kak.

the drives are set up in span mode.. I bought one of these in nov and one of the drives died in march, taking the whole drive down... managed to recover most of the data using this recovery prog called Active File Recovery. It reconstructs raids for yah etc... Wouldn't advise this lacie drive or any of the D2 models either, have had 3 failures from them in 3 years.

My Lacie Porsche, maxtors and WDs are still going strong thou. Save your money and get a Drobo when they come out over here.

Note: the lacie enclosure contains 2x 500GB IDE drives.. think they are IBM/Hitachi, can't remember off the top of my head thou.
