I want one that will go with my PS3, so I can have all my Films/Music on there and it can play through my PS3.

I use MediaLink on my Mac for Wireless Streaming but it causes too much problems and is alot of hassle.

Shame about the £4.95 delivery others it would be £64, might be worth checking local stores, as I have seen the 500GB which is £54 in store! So double the space for an extra £14.95 can't be bad!

Also this is really cheap for a 1TB USB External HDD, all the others around this price range aint the prettiest! So this is for people who like their technology to be pleasing to the eye!

I know Makro had this for £60, but not eveyone owns or is apart of a business so not able to get into Makro to get them!

Other online prices:

Play.com - £81.50
eXpansys UK - £80.99
Apple - £109.00
Micro Anveka £79.99

Please do not vote cold because you have owned a Lacie HDD and it has failed, as some one, some where will have owned any brand of HDD and it would of failed!

I use one of these for Time Machine, they are very noisy drives but no problems so far. £49.99+VAT at Makro at the moment (as you say) which makes them a little more worth it.

If your going to vote cold, at least point me in the direction of where I can get this item cheaper?! Leave a comment and say why you have voted cold, it helps.

Don't say Makro as I don't have access to one.

Arguably it's not a great deal if you *do* have access to Makro though.

Oh I do agree, but if you think, the majority of people here won't have access to a Makro or their Makro won't have stock.

So this is a good deal if you look at it that way. :)

If it doesn't have to be this particular drive, there are cheaper 1tb drives available

Western Digital / Seagate / Samsung to name 3

Just an example, found this with a quick Google search http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001GO9ERE/300003336-21/?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (I think that this may have been posted on HUKD previously) This is £64.99 with free delivery. As stated previously, if it's simply a 1TB drive you are looking for, there are cheaper deals out there.

Voted cold because it is cheaper elsewhere.
