Trouble with Macro mail offers is you need to get to the store at rope drop to have any chance of getting one as they will only have very few to sell, with anything worth getting that is!

I've never had a problem getting what I need from Makro mail..... You just need to go within the first few days...

I got one of these at around this price last time they were doing them (a month or so back, at Reading). I went days after the start and had no problem - they seemed to have a lot of them. No complaints about the drive either - does what it says on the tin.

LaCie don't make hard drives (?) so what's actually in it? Trick or treat?

Lacie have been making external hard drives for a long time, considered one of the best by mac users. and a real good price voted hot

Totally agree i cant see the point of Makro its not Trade most things you can buy cheaper in the supermarket, yes they might have offers but so do the supermarkets.

Only buy stuff like big 2kg packs of bacon for £6ish, but real caterers etc get this cheap anyway from proper wholesalers.

I prefer JTF wholesale, still not really wholesale but a damn site cheaper than Makro.

We used to wholesale items out 3.5 times what we purchased the items for RRP and give the retailer terms of 40% up to 60% on ocassion.

i.e import price £10 x 3.5 = £35 RRP less 40% = £21 trade so we where still doubling up. on profit.

It amazes me how the stock doesn't go off because they are turning over much stock the car park is only ever about 1/8 full when i go

R.I.P Makro watch this space i bet the will go under very very soon:p

Fixed that for you. Not voting cold but suffice to say that reliability, good engineering design and LaCie are only nodding acquaintances.

think you need to tell that to the numerous designers who have been using LaCie for year due to their compatability with macs, and do me a favour dont change my text and then quote it with my name attached thx
