This is an excellent deal. I just paid £180 for 1TB. I wish I would have got 2 of these now :( Some more heat added.

500GB available for £79.95 at http://www.gizoo.co.uk/Products/PCGaming/PCGadgets/LaCiePorsche500Gb.htm - useful if you don't need full 750GB.

Also extra £5 discount with code TGSVCH850

My WD external 500GB USB drive spins down after being idle for 5 minutes or thereabouts so you shouldn’t need to turn it off. It shouldn’t consume much power in standby.

Added. You can't even buy an internal 750GB drive for this price!

You can get a wireless router which you can plug a USB device into like a printer or a external hard drive. I know Apple have recently launched an 108.11n (or something like that) wireless router with 4 ethernet ports and 1 USB port. Although this may be a bit pricey, you should be able to get one made by Buffalo or something like that.

They also have a 1TB version for £138.84 but it’s actually 2x 500GB drives so it’s rather bulky and heavy; otherwise I’ve have posted it as a deal. See here.
