The wife will be relieved that the £200 coat (outlaw) she bought 2 months ago hasn't been reduced.

Anyone who's near to South Shields, Tyne & Wear, Barbour have a factory shop at their factory, huge savings there!

Why....what difference does it make, once you've bought and worn something surely it makes no difference?

To be honest all of this stuff is purely fashion related now...and anyone buying the newer Barbour gear is doing so purely for fashion purposes...whilst theres nothing wrong with that, its much like buy AX Armini kit...its a much cheaper part of the brand just to give people the brand name without paying the top prices...the proper Barbour stuff...ie the Wax jackets, aren't really ever going to be priced this well, as they don't need to do so...it just sells on its own Merit, doesn't go out of style so never needs to be discounted.

If you really want the cheap chivvy barbour stuff....then this is good....but personally Ill pass...

So cold from me I'm afraid..

They're not that big on the savings from what I saw on my last visit. Their shirt sizes are ridiculous too - i'm an XL in shirt size for most brands (Ben Sherman, Lacoste etc), and I couldn't even get into one of their 3XL shirts comfortably (and there were some nice shirts there too).

Most people don't like knowing something they've bought has just been reduced, most would feel a little robbed.

But thats thinking like a child.......the price you pay is the price you pay...its different if it drops the day after,...but once you worn it it makes no difference do you feel robbed if petrol goes down a penny the day after you buy it..

Some people need to get a life and realise there are more important things that need to be worried about

These aren't actually very warm (waxed cotton simply isn't) ..layering gets that result, & can be achieved far cheaper if need be.

(though yes I do have a wardrobe full of old quality barbour & outback .or whatever the company is called belonging to barbour group of companies) ...as a horsey, farming, type country person.

Typically prefer me Lowe Alpine fleeces, ...that is warmth, wax jacket a "mere" layer.
