Not even close either, I don't understand the mentality of just buying something on blu ray just because it's cheap, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Seen this else where online at this price... after reading a review which gave it 1.5 stars.. i decided to miss this one..

hence why i would buy it for £5 on blu-ray!
#8
It seems like the Toys r Us stores seem to have a slightly different selection in each one lol
#9
only ever buy blu-ray for great films I will watch again !!! just because something is cheap doesnt indicate its worth buying, only a bargain if you want it.
#10
Saw this today in Toys R Us. Was just about to post but notice you have already. Nice one.

Voted hot ;-)

No offence, but I just don't get people who say that. You can't sperate the quantitative value of an item from its qualitative value.

£5 for a blu-ray is certainly a good price - it reminds me of the time Donnie Darko was the first dvd to hit the £3 price mark in high street retailers - but does that mean it is a bargain considering the film is (and of course this is entirely my opinion) utterly rubbish (Lady in the Water that is, not Donnie Darko, which is a masterpiece)?

£5 for Lady in the Water isn't a bargain for me, as I wouldn't want to sit through it again.

You wouldn't go food shopping and buying something you don't like simply because it was on offer now would you?
#14
im sorry.not trolling.just saw this on rss feed and felt obliged by a higher being to give my tuppence worth(apologies in advance).....
This 'Film' is not probably, but certainly one of the worst films in existence.
i would rather have my eyeballs sucked out of my head by a hoover than try to watch it again.
i'd rather be 'tea-bagged' by a massive swinging hot pair of donkey balls and then have said donkey poop on my chest than be made to watch this.
in conclusion-it is not good.

:0)

ps(sorry)

I guess you haven't seen M. Night thingy's follow-up film THE HAPPENING then ?
That's even worse.

Every film this guy has made has been worse than the last one IMO.
He was a very promising new talent when THE SIXTH SENSE came out (and to a slightly lesser extent UNBREAKABLE - a very good film IMO).

Since then though it's been a gradual decline in the quality of his films.

Good price for a blu-ray edition of Lady In The Water (and that's the point of this site after all), but personally, I wouldn't buy it if it was 50p.
#22
dont buy this movie, i bought it for £3 on dvd some time back and felt cheated! i loved M.Night previous movies but hated this one, you cant relate to any of the characters, the plot has too many twists and turns, and about 40 minutes in you think of turning it off. I wasted 2 hours of my life on this piece of garbage and i beg you not to do the same.....i love my little rants!

Hmm i have this on HD DVD in Dolby True HD, seems to be a lot of mixed views on it here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0452637/ All this talk has made me quite keen to watch it now . . . .

Dont, just don't. You will actually feel offended watching this, and this coming from an early Shyamalan fan.
#25
I agree with everyone else, this movie was terrible!

I see where you're coming from but I thought it should be easy to seperate the "quantitative value of an item from its qualitative value", it's one simple question... Can this be found elsewhere for cheaper? The quality of the film should be irrelevant as someone may (god knows why!) be looking to buy this film.

Very true, but can you see that it's a good price even though it's not for you? That said, if you vote or not is up to you!

Just my 2p.....Good price should you want this rubbish film! ;-)
#27
Whats with you people? The film is a modern fairytale, and to fully enjoy it you have to take it in childlike. If you fail to do this, then you have a heart of stone and have grown old and bitter before your time. I, for one, feel nothing but pity for you. Please, please, do yourself a favor and jump off the ' I hate....' bandwagon before its too late.

4.99 is a great price for the movie. If only I didn't have it already on sddvd and hddvd
#28
I was trying to say that some people would want it and that it's a good price for those that do! I even voted it hot on that basis. It's just not for me.

Perhaps I should have voted it cold like my heart of stone! ;-)

i like what you're saying but the truth is that i AM older.i cannot think 'childlike' thoughts..my bad.i have seen some terrible things in this world.things that took my innocence and ability to see the 'fairytales' that you talk of.pity me-that's cool.that is your right

this film still blows harder
than belladonna(if you know-you know.lol)

More like fill half the page up with posts where you could be using a third of that and your wit is probably wasted here. I didn't think you looked like Opie from Family Guy either....he's too damn sexy to look anything like you.....Wablu Wablu Wabluuuu! :p
