Great, I am too fat to get in the car.

Good Price, My misses payed over £200 for a ferrari and lambo exp for me which got 5 laps in each car . A must for car fans. I am 6.3 and fitted in both so height shouldnt be an issue (for most).

Yeah if that blithering idiot clarkson can fit in em I think everyone else can!

Make sure you go to the doctors first for a health check because if you have a dodgy ticker you might make it worse
#4
I'm looking forward to it any way.. can't understand why people were voting cold on it though...

Agreed, as Banjo said, if blithering Clarkson can fit in one, most should be fine. The only thing I would say, is they call these 'thrill days' but you only usually drive the car for around 30 mins. I could not see anything when I just glanced at the site, and I am only going on what friends have said. - I have never been on one of these days, but it might just be worth bearing in mind to avoid dissapointment!
Well done OP much cheaper price than others, good deal
#6
My brother in law went on one of these said they were ace, it does go quickly when your in the car as you only get a few laps but worth every penny!
#7
this is awesome... hinted to the misses ..... what day's can you go as it doesn't give too many details or I didn't look hard enough?
#8
unsure of the days but you book well in advance so it gives you time to plan round :D
#9
Great price, have some heat .... nice find :)
#10
Any clues on locations? Couldn't seem to find it on the website.

You'd be helishly lucky to get as much as 30 minutes - Ive been on 3 of these driving experiences and the longest ive actually been in the car driving i would say was 10-15 minutes if that - you get about 5 laps at around 2 minutes a lap.

While i enjoyed them and they were an experience i wouldnt say they were worth the money...although at this price i think you'd just about get some value...but certainly DONT pay any more than £70 as these driving says are ALWAYS coming up on offer throughout the year.

Any near London for the Lamborghini?

Hot Deal!!

Booked for wife's birthday and at the speed she drives, even 5 laps in an aston martin will take over an hour so superb value for money!!!!
#17
Just bear in mind when booking this, that this is like buying a gift voucher. If this company goes into administration, the chances are you won't get your driving day or your money back.

Great value though.

I need to be 100% sure of what the available locations are before I purchased. I don't want to end up having to travel 3 hours just for 10 mins racing in a fast car!

Here are the locations according to the JJBSports site (not neccessary the same as the deal) to save people clicking on above link.

Lamborghini Locations:
Loughborough, Leicestershire; Stafford, Staffordshire; Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire; Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire; Elvington, Yorkshire; Middlesborough, N Yorkshire; Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

Aston Martin Locations:
Great Tew, Oxfordshire; Elvington, Yorkshire; Loughborough, Leicestershire; Stafford, Staffordshire; Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire; Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire; Heyford Park, Oxfordshire; Middlesborough, N Yorkshire; Kenilworth, Warwickshire

If its on again this year go to the VXR day, you get 90 mins of track time and 90 mins of handling activities and even get taken in a car on 2 wheels by the stunt driver,
its about £95 but well worth it, although you dont go in dream cars like Astons, its very good fun and you get breakfast/lunch included

Silly comment:roll:

Ive been on three of these and i found it quite the opposite to what you have stated, they actually encouraged me each time to push it harder and harder.....to the point where at one point i slid off the track.....i had good experiences every time - the only downside for me was that it was over in 15 minutes...but hey, how often you gonna get behind the wheel of a £100k sportscar on a race track?

Well, on the face of it £7 a minute sounds a lot but hey....you are driving someones £100k supercar - so £70 in the grander scheme of things is peanuts!! - i bet you go through £25 in petrol alone on the day!!

'You will be asked to sign a disclaimer on the day, as you will not be covered for damage caused as a result of reckless and/or negligent driving'

Could be a very expensive day out if you make a mistake and damage the car! :?

Well, thats not entirely true actually - you sign a disclaimer to say 'they' wont be resposible for any damage to 'you' caused by your driving as well as any damage to the car IF you dont take out their 'optional' insurance....which i think from memory is £20...but to be honest nobody bothers with that - youd have to be a complete numpty to crash the car (and deaf)

Ive got to be honest though, you'd have to drive like a complete maniac and totally ignore the qualified instructors orders constantly to actually cause any significant damage to their cars.....and to be fair it 'does' say NEGLIGENT or RECKLESS DRIVING so in 99.99% of cases youre gonna be ok.

Exactly what I was thinking. In the current economic climate, with people not spending as much, can you see this company still being around in six month's time when your appointment comes up? It's happened a number of times before, you'd think it would be illegal to sell more vouchers if the company knew it was going bust, but they seem to do it.

Did anyone get an Olan Mills voucher for Christmas? They're the company that used to sell vouchers for portrait photographs of your kids in Mothercare. They sold as many vouchers as they could before Christmas and then went bust straight after.

Its one of them things you can't control though isn't it? If you know you or someone else want it you pay the money and take the chance. That's just like saying don't buy an HMV or Next gift card in case they go under...
#37
i think its a good deal for a once in a lifetime experience. Even if you get to put your foot down in a supercar. Its something not many people get to do. sounds good

According to Website you can also buy sets at Boots the Chemist. Checked there site out and this is what they state:
Activity Superstore Lamborghini or Aston Martin

This could be the hardest decision of your life! How will you decide between the iconic Aston Martin or the elegant Lamborghini Gallardo? An Aston Martin provides unrivalled luxury together with three important elements: power, beauty and soul. The Lamborghini Gallardo is stunning yet small and agile. This ‘baby Lambo’ epitomises everything that makes a Lamborghini so desirable. Your day will begin with a welcome, introduction and safety briefing on circuit driving techniques. Then it’s time for you to take the wheel of either the Aston Martin, typically the DB9 or Vantage, or Lamborghini Gallardo.

I won't vote cold as its cheap BUT alot of these days they really don't let you drive the car properly, i.e you have to stay in 3rd gear, easy on the brakes, no tyre squeal polciy etc.....rubbish.

Fine if your not a petrol head but if you like cars/own a decent car and actually drive it hard then you may well be very disapointed.

As per my previous reply to a similar post - this just isnt true, on all of my 3 experiences on these type of driver days the instructor actually encourages you to put your foot down and tries to push you 'within reason' so you can enjoy the experience...i dare say if Lewis Hamilton turned up they wouldnt exactly be encouraging him to put his foot pown but lets be honest , MOST people will not have driven that particular type of Lambo or Aston so naturally your first 2 or 3 laps youll only be trying to get a feel for the car, so its really only in your last 2 laps that you really put your foot down anyway and push it anyway.

IMHO go with the Lambo over the Aston....but thats just personal choice.
