This is a very good spec, for the price, heat added.

Very good components for the price. I'd check the frame to see if there's any credible reviews on the whole, but gets my vote.
As for comments on the brakes and forks - give some reasons. They are branded and good quality ranged components, so thumbs up from me.

The gears are really set for medium to higher end off road on this bike, plus the tyres would need to change otherwise you'll be working far harder than you need.
Best have a look for a hybrid bike as this comes with less gears that are more suitable to the roads and thinner faster tyres for flat use.

Doubt you'll get a better specced machine for the money. I guess the frame is an unknown quantity but given that it's not exactly rocket science I reckon it will be fine.
