Over £17.99 so one would assume there is tax paid (although included in price)?

The price includes delivery - that is why about 18 months ago all the prices at Mymemory increased from £17.99.

So the extra over that is to cover delivery - and the base price is still £17.99

Bit of an overstatement to call it a VOIP phone... it's a Skype & MSN phone. It can't work with real VOIP, whereas a microphone and speakers or a headphone on your everyday PC or laptop can connect to any number of VOIP services many of which are much cheaper and more flexible than Skype. (try a bluetooth headset if you want to wander around, that's what I use!)

If it will work as a standard DECT phone without being hooked up to a PC then fair enough, use it as that.

Oh, bit limited then, if it can't be adjusted to use the VOIP of your choice. Not using it yet, as 5p per call, and 0.5p per minute, via 18185, still seems to be cheaper for calling standard numbers than using voip providers for calling to these. OK, it;s usually free to call people on their network, but most of my calls are to standard landlines or mobiles.

How do you know it's JUST a Skype & MSN phone.
The spec is a bit vague as it just says:
- Supporting Skype speed dial and conference call
- Supporting other voice messenger program like MSN...etc

so what exactly does "ETC" mean - I think most people would take this to mean ANY VOIP service (especially as they mention VOIP in the title description) - if this is not the case then I'd say the description is definitely misleading. :x

Quick Google search reveals that this is a USB handset which also works over DECT. Manufactured by Korean-based Eurodigitel (I am going to see if I can find a manufacturer link now).

Would seem that this interfaces USB with DECT -- this is a potentially *VERY* useful feature as it means that any vendor's software will work as if you have an ordinary VOIP USB set on your PC, but adds wireless.

Now if this allows more extensions to be added to this base, then this is a great piece of kit.

Nothing that I can see but still, I may well give this a go. It does definitely seem though that the phone will interface with other DECT kit.

Not according to the mymemory web-site. It's £20.99 with free delivery, in fact there's free delivery on everything according to their web-site.

I think if it was a SIP device, they would be shouting it from the rooftops.
