Tesco are running a promotion on Champagne 2 for £25, including the Lanson Black label which is usually 23.99 per bottle.

Add the £13 off £90 spend voucher code (XX2R6L) to the order, and bring the cost down to £37 + delivery.

The £13 off voucher WILL work because you're basket will total £95.96 (4 * 23.99). The 2 for £25 offer will click in at time of delivery.

Nope....not just you,very

Think someone's had too much Lanson!:whistling:
#4
right, ok, beginning to click,....

you get 4 bottles for £50, minus the £13 voucher code makes £37?

but its a £90 spend code, plus you still need to factor in delivery...
#5
So you are saying that you can use the £90 spend code on a £50 spend??:?
#6
Hehe been trying to work this one out too.

maybe the voucher can be used because the actual price each is £23.99 each
so 23.99 x4 = 95.96

havent tried it yet though so just a guess

i like champagne but IMO there doesnt seem to be a huge diff between alot of them except the bog standard moet which IMO tastes awful.....tried varieties from krug, moet, lanson, dom perignon(inc. ruby)....sure the dm and krug does taste a little better but 5, 10 or more better given the price...no.....i'd rather spend my money on other things like cars and property and drink beer or cider instead.......i just think some of the stuff is way overrated and overpriced because of the snob value.....lanson is fine.....espec. for the money...most people who drink cristal are pretentious idiots anyway...usually rappers or footballers....says it all really

Yeah,I get it,but....... Important message:
This is a guide price only. Product prices may change in store between now and when your order is delivered.

So, d'ya reckon big daddy Tesco will honour the deal.......
Its a gamble, but I suppose you could hand it back to the poor driver
#13
Sorry - it was late and I had already written the post out once before submitting and getting an http error! So the second time around was a little brief.

With Tesco voucher codes, you don't need the actual spend to come in at above the value, in this case £90, but the cost before applying any promotions. So the wine goes into the basket at 4 * 23.99, taking it over £90. Then apply the code. When it gets delivered, Tesco will give you the Champagne at £25 for two, but also honour the £13 discount. I do this every week on my weekly groceries, and it works fine every time.

I don't think its a gamble - Tesco honour these deals all the time. And as you said, you don't have to accept from the delivery driver.

great post mcampster - its seems that there are certain people on here that can only leave negative comments - whether its champagne, xbox games, magazines or almost anything for that matter - it makes me SICK when people leave negative NOTEs all the time. Some things - errors, previous bad experiences etc, need to be pointed out - but to slate virtually everything due to personal preference is, in my opinion, pathetic!! Its attitudes like that that stop many people from posting for the first time as they're no doubt concerned that some members are going to criticise and ridicule them. Keep up the good work everyone - there are plenty of people on here that appreciate what youre doing

The Piper Heidieck is on offer at two for £25. I ordered that instead.

If you want a very good champagne that tastes a lot more expensive than it really is, then Nicolas Feuillatte Cuvee Vintage 225 http://www.feuillatte.com/home_en.php#champagnes/gourmands/36, Majestic have it on offer well below £20 a bottle usually (i think i paid £16) it is almost as good as champagne that costs 4x or more including Bollinger Grande Anee, Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque, Dom and Krug, Truly stunning.

I think this one might go into melt down......its a cracker....well done OP :santa:

Great spot. Starting to stock up for a wedding next year.

Bit worrying that the 2 for 1 will only show up on delivery.

Or you could just buy it from Tesco, no need for the 12 bottles for only £16.98

i'll second that
#27
This is a great deal if you like Lanson and I for one rate Lanson Black as a perfectly decent champagne. I believe that the taste of champagne is purely subjective and I've tasted quite a few.

Chris197, you should buy as close to the wedding as possible...
#28
I think it is a good deal if you want *champagne* but if you want practically the same for even less buy some cava.

champagne is only champagne because it comes from the region and they are allowed to call it that. cava is effectively champagne from elsewhere.

:whistling:
#29
Actually, this is one hell of a deal - should work out at approx ? a bottle.

Wow! I had to order - despite my cava comment ;)

Heat and deserved rep!

Moet. Lanson and all the other major brands are 99% marketing & 1% taste. Do yourself a favour and visit your local independent wine merchant (not bottoms up, threshers et al) and ask them for a bottle of Vuvre which you can even have in pink (Veuve di Vize).

Then you’ll taste a wine that is 99% taste and 1% marketing. Remember the independent wine merchants are there to help and will normally have several bottles open on a Saturday for free tasting.

Hope this helps.

I can't seem to find Cuvee Vintage 225 for under £38.50.

But I can't see that.

Perhaps either could englighten me

Talking utter rubbish...if you shop about you can get it for roughly £20 a bottle, or aroud £18 a bottle if buying six, though averages around the £23 mark, if you have some sort of great dealer where this is even 2 for £25 without the discount, please let us all know, otherwise don't bother making worthless and wrong comments.

Good deal, and though not top end champagne far from a poor champagne either!

Nice find

Still trying to convince the wife we need it ...

Love champagne but does anyone else have a problem tracking with Quidco it never works for me with Tesco.
#38
Thanks. I've just ordered too.

I have been searching and searching for this deal on tescos and just tried following the link and im told "Sorry, this product is currently not available at your store" is it common that it is available at some stores and not others. Is this deal likely to be rolled out to other stores or could it just be a glitch?

Would be grateful for any ideas as it sounds like a great deal
#40
One thing to note people is that the offer of 2 for £25 is on until 2nd December, so it needs to be delivered by then for the offer to still be on or so I've been told
