Been pricing up some of the mini bottles of champagne to go with presents for our wedding in April. Sainsburys is selling this mini bottle of Lanson Black Label Brut champagne for £8.99 on its own! (http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/sainsburys-price-comparison/Champagne_And_Sparkling_Wines/Lanson_Black_Label_200ml.html) !! Just been in Asda (Derby, Spondon) and saw these gift sets with the Valentines things. No price on them, but scanned at £3! I think its a possible misprice as Asda's own mini 'Champers' & a few chocolates were £3! These are glass champagne flutes as well, not plastic!

Why misprice - it's a little bottle of pop with cheap as tat glasses in a carboard box?

Sorry, am I missing something OR do you want to come across as cheap skate on the 14th - fill your boots.

Same bottle in Sainsburys is £8.99 on its own. similar price for other mini champagnes. Saved myself £50ish quid on some others I nearly bought at the weekend. Plus I got 24 glasses I can ebay.

Er.....

perhaps because 2 champagne flutes on their own would cost nearly this, and the small bottle of champagne would almost certainly cost more than this.

For the 14th or not, split the box and/or use it for yourself and it appears to me to definitely be a misprice...

The old saying: "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all", springs to mind. Damn there's some really rude people out there - or at least some lacking any social skills whatsoever!

Heat and rep. left. These little gift sets are always overpriced - but that's the nature of the beast. But at this price it's a great deal. Thanks OP - keep up the good work!

Edit: Yes, should have said so myself - have a great wedding!

I was in asda trafford park about 2 hours ago and it was still going through at 3 pounds, bought myself a couple! So unless its updated at midnight.....it should still be cheap as Chips (and a burger)

Just got back from Asda Cannock. About 8 left on the shelf and went through at £3.

Thanks to the OP
#27
Seems like a great deal if you can get it since a 75cl bottle would be around £25, plus I could do with some cheap flutes.
#28
Just been to the Pudsey store and these are scanning at £12.

Thanks so much for this post! I've just bought 9 - perfect for my wedding. I'm going to use my Craft Robo cutting machine to create stencils then etch the glasses to make them personalised thank you gifts for parents/ bridesmaids/ best man.

Marked as £12 on the shelf, but scanned at £3. Very pleased, and to make it even better the gentleman on the till ID'd me. Made my day as I turned 30 last year! :D

Plenty left in the Newton Abbot store.

How come it scanned at £12 at the Leeds Pudsey store?

Anyone in Leeds area manage to get it for £3?

Well I took one over to be scanned at one of the counters, and it came up as "item not recognised".
The helpful assistant peeled the barcode sticker off the tag, to reveal the original bar code, and scanned it again. The girl exclaimed, "Blimey that's cheap", as it scanned at £3.
Now the temptation was to load the trolley with the other 20 boxes and peel the labels off, but that struck me as being very dishonest, as opposed to slighlty dishonest for buying the one I hadn't actually tampered with.
For those that are interested the £3 barcode ends is 5 060105 453748.

The only barcode on the one I tried was a tag and it scanned at £12

 That's weird, worked fine at about 11am. They scanned the code on the tag - that was the only one there was. I suppose the message previously mentioned from Asda is getting round the stores. That's a real shame :(
#37
Oh well you win some you lose some

I went to self-scannning at about 1230 - the ironic thing is that I was in Asda at about 10am so should have tried it then but popped back when I saw it on here
#38
Thanks!
Still got a lot of stock in Asda Queensferry at 6pm.
Scanned the little card tag. Comes up as not recognised then the assistant did a price find thing and it came up as £3. Very pleased.
Good find.
#39
Can't get to an Asda , but definitely a hot deal...

CAN THIS NOT BE UN-EXPIRED????

I just got one at Asda in Halifax. There were 2 left after I got mine. Scanned at £3!!!
