Usually around the £25 mark, this is on offer at this price in co-op stores until Jan 17th.
A classic Islay malt, smokey in taste and smell, best enjoyed without sharing.

a classic......its rank no wonder your face has turned out like it has
it used to take the varnish of the bar top
good price though

What area are you in - sometimes Co-op deals are area specific rather than national.

There's a lot of quality whisky being reduced - maybe the credit crunch isn't all bad news after all

Heat and rep added wherever you are

10 years OLD and eighteen quid?!!!
I can get NEW stuff for half that !

Any Islay malt is a hit for me but this is my favourite by a country mile.

Love it. Good deal.

It's supposed to taste like that. I like both peaty and smooth malts - depends on what mood I'm in. just about to have some glenlivet actually
#7
Excellent choice! Lovely stuff.
#8
I like this one ... heat :)
#9
TCP is cheaper and tastes the same. If you insist on the real deal this is a GOOD price
#10
Not a great malt drinker, prefer blended but I had a litre bottle of this for Xmas and it's nearly finished.:)
Thats how much I like it.
The father in law who is a malt drinker hates it.
Heat added.

I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.
#14
Great price for this but like others I'm more a Speyside drinker - still enjoying the Aberlour I got for £15 from Asda last week ;)
#15
I do love the Islay's! Hot. :)
#16
Good price, very nice malt too. Was looking at this the other day but went with a 12y Lagavulin. If you like your peaty whiskeys this is a good one. Could still add it to the collection though...
#17
Lovely smokey flavour, voted hot!

I love Laphroaig and this is a really good price.

I can recommend this one, Auchentoshan, to anyone who likes a smooth, easy to drink malt..

http://www.singlemaltwhiskyshop.com/store/auchentoshan/full-bottles/auchentoshan-classic-70cl-40--percent-vol.aspx

It's a lowland malt, completely different to the peaty Western Isles Malts.

When in Rome...

A bit Marmite this one - you love it or hate it. Defo worth trying a shot in the pub first as this is an "acquired" taste, trust me. Not keen myself but good price for those who like it.
#21
This is my favourite whisky, got the taste for it on a jungle trek in malaysia of all places.

Is the price for a 70cl bottle or 1ltr bottle?
#22

70cl

Most people I know like this, my dad, farther in law and Wife (who are all serious whisky drinkers. not a big whisky fan myself so leave it for those who appreciate it more.

btw got mine for £14.82 0n double staff discount last week

ewww - could understand an olive in your drink - but pepper and cheese!! :p

I've got about 35 bottles of malt - and I like every one for a different reason! This isn't one of my top 5 I must admit - but this isn't a review site is it? It's a deal site - and this is a hot deal so it gets my h 'n' r

OP - 'best enjoyed without sharing'

well it is Scottish after all!

Get a bottle of smart price whisky and put it in an empty malt bottle. When someone who doesn't know what's what has some they'll be put off whisky for life - saving your precious collection for your own enjoyment

My favourite!

Thought it was a bargain in Morrisons last week at just over £21 so this is great. The cheapest i've seen it other than last year when it was in Netto for £15.99.

My favourite whisky.
I haven't tried many, perhaps a dozen in all,but this is the most tastiest imo.

And for the person who pollutes it with coke...a very large raspberry, lol.

:-D i wouldnt really put coke with it just wanted to see the reaction i got cos i want to go into the local here and ask for it as its a malt whisky village and would like to see how fast the locals burn me on a cross:-D
#33
Drink it with what you want and how you want. If you like coke with it, why not?

This is in the Co-operative Group (tCG) co-ops, so should be pretty much nationwide (they are the largest in the UK) and it could be in Somerfields as well as tCG now own them

How dare you call me a perv!! A perv is a sexual deviant who practises or has a fantasy about bizarre acts of an adult nature ...............actually ................ errr............. just shut up ok - it's none of your business.

No hard feelings - unless you come for that drink of course :whistling:
