Hi all,

With all the recent laptop/notebook deals going on, I couldnt find one specifically targeted to gamers/art designers and did a search on my own.

I found this Samsung model on Ebuyer and for the spec of the graphics card (GeForce 9600M GS) and Ram (4GB (Actual Capacity 3.2GB) 2 x 2GB DDR3 1066MHz ) - it does seem to fit the bill more for what I was looking for.

**** Smart Devil found a better deal on laptops direct which equates to £10 less than the ebuyer deal, I have updated the link to go to there****

I have recently bought this laptop, am typing this reply on it.

Love it. Looks great, is quite powerful.

The only game I play, Team Fortress 2, runs like a dream on it on full settings.

A word of note, some of the dell and HP laptops come with remotes that slow into their expresscard slot. This laptop obviously doesnt, but nor can you buy one of those remotes of ebay (where they do sell quite cheaply) and use them, since this laptop doesnt have infrared receiver.

However, I have found a remote that slots into the expresscard slot and uses bluetooth, hence can be used with this laptop:

Cost you just over £25 with the cheapest delivery (from misco) and has good reviews from gadget websites.

Am going to order it myself. Just thought I'd add this little bit of geek news.

I think the sony deal from play is better value in this price range, i know its got a larger screen, etc but it packs a blu-ray drive.

Great deal but found for cheaper price at laptop direct 649.97

damn, I am sure I searched around for this same laptop for a cheaper price before I went ahead and bought from Ebuyer, hmm have ended up paying £20 extra, and thats not including the delivery charge.

Do Ebuyer retrospectively price match? I wouldnt expect so, but Ive sent them an email asking anyway.

yep, just as I thought, got a reply that EBuyer dont do price matching.

Ah well, in the scheme of things £20 is not too much of a difference (I did end up buying a couple of other items from ebuyer for the laptop) but if I was buying it today, I would definately go with the cheaper option.

Good spot.
