Heads up for those that are collecting these

Some gumph...

Jumping overboard on a flying ship to avoid capture, Sheeta is rescued by her powerful crystal necklace which floats her down to safety. Sheeta longs to see Laputa, the castle in the sky, but the pirates are after its treasure and its secret powers. As the different parties fight over who gets control of Laputa, it's up to Sheeta to use her ancient knowledge to save it from destruction.

Should be the same as the current bluray release, just as a steelbook . Mark Hamill on voiceover as the bad guy, whats not to like

They have a Japanese version to with English subtitles

There was another English subbed version which I first watched back in the 80s, I think it was called the Streamline version, felt that was way better than the Disney redubbed version.

This is not to take away the brilliant movie, just personally felt it has been slightly spoilt by Disney.

I prefer the original language..., though Mark Hamill - obviously there will be multiple viewings.

Yeah, it's a placeholder. It'll become available to pre-order on the 18th. Laputa: Castle in the Sky pre-order was dated for a week earlier so the product page for it would have also been showing as "sold out" before yesterday.

I also want a Streamline dub version...

The Streamline dub of "Castle in the Sky" may be a bit more "accurate" than the current Disney dub, but it is also very, very, very problematic. The vocal performances in that version all sound lifeless and robotic, and the script writing, sorry to say, sounds very laughable and stunted. I honestly found it very difficult to listen to, and I still find it a truly hideous dub.

The Disney dub, for all its faults, is, IMO, the better version, Yes, the leads are a bit too mature, and the script adaptation is chattier, but it's much better written and executed, and the performances are all around, generally better. Hamill in particular makes it worth watching.
