Cheaper on PC - £3.40 today on Steam.

Voted hot though - as good price given M$ cut of the pie ...

can u really compare the two, one is for consoles and one is on the PC. The PC deal is much much cheaper but it doesn't have achievements :)

Thanks for the heads up. I've been waiting for this to drop too, so will pick it up tonight!

If only the pinball tables would drop!
#4
I'm sorry but your willing to pay the additional just for achievements, there's something wrong with you! Lol!

Why can't I compare the two - They are exactly the same game, except the PC one can also be played with a keyboard aswell as a gamepad - in addition, i'm guessing people have PC's/Mac's to post on here aswell as a console ... also, the PC version DOES have achievements!!!

If you have a PC capable of playing this then you can easily make a choice as to which version you want - my post was only to inform, not detract from the deal posted ... as stated, I voted this deal hot.

Mother effing microsoft. They'd better make this up to me by putting something on I haven't bought in the last 6 milli seconds that I actually want. 8)

I'd rather sit round my TV playing this co-op than huddled round a monitor

Fantastic game, especially in co-op.
#9

Nope, but I'm willing to pay the extra quid or so to sit comfortably on my sofa with my surround sound :-)

Really good game at a great price. Well worth it.
#15
I have absolutely zero interest in this game but the price is great.

The game is best played with couch co-op, which the PC version obviously doesn't support. Really not as much fun by yourself, or just playing online with random strangers. Worth the extra £1.60 for that, really.

cheers

Funny how since the game designers reduced her boob size to appease the heterophobic wimmin ranters, Lara's sales have stagnated at best, plummeted at worse ?
#19
Don't miss the Dead Space 2 Demo
#20
I've already got this. Good for co-op with the wife. Boring on your own, although to get some achievements I might have to go back alone!

Good price. It's quite long too.
#21
Do you need 'Live Gold', to get it at this price?
#22
I take it the price goes back up tomorrow?

Yes.

Here's a list of the other likely deals leaked on XBL Marketplace yesterday:

That's cool, but some of us have our PC's connected to a TV too you know ... along with using a gamepad ... welcome to the 21st century :)

There really are a lot of misinformed fanbois around today - the PC version is perfectly playable online or on the same PC ...

I have a 360, PS3 and a PC - so i'm really platform agnostic, but the arguments put forward as to why the 360 version is supposedly superior are just misinformed - but if it makes you feel happier then carry on. For the rest of you, you can make your own call with the facts :)

Pasted here just in case it's removed from Major Nelson, which it likely will be:

Posted this yesterday, but I don't know how many people saw the comment. They accidentally leaked the info on the deals through the Download to Win contest info on the Dashboard yesterday. Here's the (probably) Complete List of "Countdown to 2011" Daily Discounts.

(Note I found this by going to the Dashboard > Countdown to 2011 > Other Holiday Deals > Enter to Win > Go over 3 Panels to "Eligible Content" ... This has since been removed).

**Arcade Games:

-Lara Croft: GoL

-Castlevania Harmony of Dispair

-Perfect Dark

-Monday Night Combat

-Sonic the Hedgehog

-Sonic the Hedgehog 2

-Sonic the Hedgehog 3

-Sonic the Hedgehog 4

-Sonic Adventure

-Sonic and Knuckles

-Limbo

**Add-Ons:

-Halo Noble Map Pack

-Fable III Understone Quest Pack

-RDR: Liars & Cheats, Legends & Killers, Undead Nightmare

-Alan Wake: The Signal and The Writer

-Dance Central: I Gotta Feeling

-Mass Effect: Lair of the Shadow Broker

-Mass Effect 2: Overlord; Kasumi

**Avatars:

-2011 Glasses

-Pet Monkey

-Rock Band Keyboard Prop

-Alan Wake Raincoat

-Kinect Sports Giant Foam Finger (Red)

-Modern Warfare 2 UAV Prop

-Fantasy Pets Minotaur

-Cool Jobs Policeman Outfit

-Plants vs. Zombies Mask

-Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing Car

-Yoda Green Lightsaber

-Free Premium Theme

**Movies:

-Layer Cake

-13 Going on 30

-The Spy Next Door

-Wall Street

-Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

-Brothers

-I am Legend

-GAMER

-Semi-Pro

-The Notebook

-Kick-ass

If this is true then I'm holding out for Perfect Dark and the Noble pack, which incidentally I want anyway but I refuse to spend 800 msp on it.

Brilliant - thanks, been waiting for this to drop.

I don't care about achievements, but the abaility for coop on a huge screen means it's XBox for me :)

Not a fanboy though, as my gaming PC kicks my XBox into orbit in all performace measures :)

All well and good, but the comment that sparked this response was exclaiming why anyone would ever want to pay a tiny bit more for the same game when it is available on PC as well. Horses for courses...

Was waiting for this. Was going to buy on steam but don't have a wired 360 pad.

Thanks.
#30
Got this on the 360 and played it all the way through in co-op, its great fun, alternates intense shooting sections with some interesting platforming/puzzle solving.

Enjoyed it that much that I ordered it on Steam again for only £2.40 (it's £2.40 if you already own any other Tomb Raider on Steam)

I second that but with my pc set up i play mine on my samsung 63 inch plasma on my seatee with my surround speakers - best decision i have ever made. whilst i still play my xbox the pc in the right enviroment offers so much more

I've used this setup for years. I'm not sure why some people still have this strange idea that PC gamers are restricted to a keyboard and a mouse.

As for the deal: Good price. I'll be adding it to my queue.

buy a 360 adapter for your pc then. I think currys/pc world still have the wireless 360 controllers with the pc adapter for about £30. Obviously not worth it if only for this game mind.

I will be buying for 360 even though I plan to build a arcade machine in my living room which is actually a touch screen gaming pc connected to to. Simply because I wanna play on it now. Cheers

You buy ms points either from Live or 'elsewhere'.

I got a new PC two days ago and found that it has no gameport for my Microsoft Sidewinder force feedback stick :( Anyone know if it can be conected somehow? Or, what is the current model of joystick like this?

btw, where can you get a wired XBox 360 pad? Mine are wireless :(

Just get one of these http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Hardware/Controllers/Pages/XboxWirelessGamingReceiverforWindows.aspx/ and you can use your wireless gamepad on your PC aswell as your 360.

Should cost around £10

played the demo (non co-op) and reckon I have just saved myself 600 points!
