Better than tesco though, might be cold because of the size ...? Not voted either way.

Agreed asdas meat is horrible

I have never ever bought a supermarket fresh meat item, there are reasons why its cheap !!!
Not too say ALL the fresh meat is not good enough but prefer my fresh meat from my local butcher !
#6
Sweeping comments! If you choose the right cut - eg top rump - should be fine. I'll look out for this, voted hot.

I wish I had the option, the only butchers within shopping distance to me are chains/franchises, and their meat is worse than Asda!

For those that buy asda meat this is a good deal so I`m gonna vote it hot for that reason. Personally I prefer tescos meat. All down to personal choice but at half price or less it`s a hot deal IMO.

You're welcome to it,

All the roasting beef I have had from Asda is like shoe leather.(Their pork is quite nice though)

But if it is tough, save your receipt and wrapper, take it backto store for a refund.

There's a nice easy way to fix the beef though. Slow cook it for a few hours instead of following the pack instructions, makes even Dr Martens-like beef melt like butter. I do that now with cheap joints, 4 hours at 150 degrees (twice as long as is recommended and about three quarters the temperature) and it comes out gorgeous.

Do an internet search on cooking beef, it's certainly helped our Sunday dinners!

Glad the abvoe agree. Asda is utter rubbish on fresh beef.

As for the last comment, the only way to fix the crap Asda sells is to throw it out.
