For the last couple of weeks my local Asda (South Bank, Middlesbrough) has had a selection of books for £1 each. This week the selection was increased considerably.

I'd imagine it's stock clearance, so availability is likely to vary from store to store.

I picked up a couple of Dean Koontz and a couple of James Patterson.

There were a few more than I got in that camera-phone pic (but I got most there, I think).

This is in our local Asda aswell (Dundee) I have bought myself a few books over the last 2 or 3 weeks when I've popped in for the shopping. There are a lot of well known authors mixed in with one's that aren't. Definetely a bargain, hot from me

Same here............. Dean Koontz, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Jeffrey Archer et al........

Good on you for putting it up!

Can anyone tell me if Asda accept book tokens?

Thanks

Wish there were that many in my local store, there's a choice of about 10. Got a couple by someone called Karen Rose which I thought were really good (Kill For Me and Count To 10)

Saw Koontz, Archer etc in Manchester Hulme.

Not my thing, but seemed to be plenty left.

If I hadnt already got them, asda are doing the grail quest series by Bernard Cornwell (Sharpe) for £1 each.

Fantastic books at full price. Amazing at £1

"Wish there were that many in my local store, there's a choice of about 10"

That's what I thought at our local Asda at Boldon as well, however there was another aisle near the clearance section with dozens to choose from. Great choice. I bought 'Heretic' by Bernard Cornwell and the first three books of the 'Eagle' series by Simon Scarrow. Topped them off with a cheeky David Baldacci. Wonderful reads and all for a fiver!!!

Popped in to my local ASDA(Small Heath), they had loads, but I could only spot one James Patterson (Jack And Jill) and one Dean Koontz (Brother Odd) so I grabbed them! Perfect for a student who's an avid reader! Gonna go back tomorrow and hopefully they'll have Kiss The Girls and another Dean Koontz! H+R for OP!
