I never buy any tool box with plastic fasteners they break in no time at all.

The plastic hinges are even worse - expect those to break almost immediately. I speak from experience of buying one of these before!

Many top brand toolboxes have plastic hinges and fasteners, and they last with no problems

Mine came from Woolworth (remember them?) and has plastic catches. They fall off quite regularly but clip back on easily enough.

I think it cost a pound in the closing down sale, and has been in use ever since. Quite a bargain, really.

Exactly. These aren't top brand - they are cheap no-names. I've had one before so I know how bad the hinges are.

Bought one today. It is very cheaply made and i'd say it's worth what it cost but not an amazing deal. Have some heat all the same. You won't find a cheaper toolbox of this size.
