To be honest I have never paid more than £11 for a large jar but £10 is my ''must buy'' price if on offer! ;)

Yes I am the same. For me £10 for large, £8 for medium and £4 for small. I will not pay more. I was lucky to get medium for £6 a jar just before Christmas.

I got Candy Cane Lane for half price. They didn't have much on offer in Halifax. :) still, I was going to buy this with 25% off before Christmas, so I'm very pleased.

£10 is about right for these candles, i tend not to buy many at £15 or £20.

They still smell good for 4 year old candles!

As usual we get ripped off in the UK. just got back from Florida and the Large Yankee candles there were 5 for $50. Worked out about £6 each.

As an alternative, these were actually the prices for all jars in their outlet shop in Swindon (as yesterday). A bit local but good prices and variety.

That's fabulous. I am not near any outlets though. I just watch The House of Fraser website or a couple of others like a hawk, when the reductions kick in and then stock up. They make great gifts.

I've stopped buying Yankee Candles and started buying Kringle Candles instead.
I find them better burning and far superior for scent although not easy to find on offer.

What's the better fragranced candle then for 2014/15?! IMHO Yankee, though expensive, cannot be beaten for fragrance quality, strength and burn hours.

Kringle was started by one of the former founders of Yankee who I think later fell out with Yankee and started his own business. Never tried them, so good to know they seem a worthy competitor.

That's rather misleading though. Yankee's retail in the US at a similar price to the UK (after exchange rate conversion and taxes), though occasionally the factory outlets do have some good offers, it's not typical. I too have had some Yankee bargains from the US over the years, but they generally don't discount any more than the UK offers. Plus, they are a bitch to transport home - heavy and fragile!

Not available in Aberdeen

I've forgotten what the other fragrances were on offer but I smelt them , there was a pale white one which smelt of cookies and vanilla and another one which was a very sweet smell , light pink in colour

I usually look / buy online but as I was passing thought I would pop in just in case (_;)

Always wanted Christmas Eve Yankee candle.... First year I've bought one.... So disappointed.... You can't smell it unless it's unlit and you stick your nose in the jar.... Complete waste of money.... Hope this one is t the same.... Either way, I'm not going to buy any more Yankee products
