£10 too expensive when it's been going for £69.99. This should have a set in stone RRP, because they are taking the **** out of customers with the price hikes on this edition!
As for the deal, great for someone that wants this at all costs...

Any discount codes available?
Probably, but if you use one you're liable to get your order cancelled at the last minute, based on Zavvi's recent past form.
#5
Thank you so much, nearly missed out on this

A lot of places have taken the **** and price hiked it. The deal I listed 2 days ago at 69.99 is now 99.99. it is around the same as shopto etc so :D for finding this. Getting for the wife.

I have already one pre ordered on zavvi using the discount code. Should I cancel it. Or should I take the risk.

Which discount code was that?

Also, this is a question for everyone, will the WELCOME code work on this game?

I ordered it from Amazon Fr last night for around 76.00, it's probably not worth cancelling that, right? Especially if Zavvi are prone to cancelling orders

Only thing I'm worried about is French instructions etc.

Atlus normally wouldn't localise that far, would they?

I used the VC10 code, for 10% off.

I pre-ordered a while ago with "10% off when you spend £50 – vouchercodes.co.uk" reckon that'll get cancelled?

That's the one I used

This was the same price on SimplyGames last time I looked. Far better company.

Edit - it's 74.99 there. Be quick.

Luckily ordered this from Base last week for £69.99, honestly thought that was the standard price. Good deal though as stock appears to be very limited.

I too have a zavvi order with code. Came to 68 roughly.

I've had emails saying sorry there is a delay we are still shipping your product to you so I guess it's fine.

I also changed my address on my order via email and they didn't say anything then.

I sent them an email regarding the code, I got a message back, and my order is still processing.

Thank you for getting in touch.

Please be advised that as you have used a voucher code from a third party website you will need to raise this query with themselves as this is not one of our offers.

Yes it does, brings the cost down for me to £71.99

Reasonable price for a collectors edition, shame it just doesn't have the kind of stuff I am looking for (figures etc).... just pre-ordered FFXII instead... heat for price tho!

I imagine it will. They'll do it at the last min. They have in the past. I had my Switch pro Controller cancelled the day before release because I used a voucher code on a pre-order, which is considered an excluded item for all codes.

I ended up cancelling it and ordering from else where for £70. It's £2.50 dearer than I had it for at Zavvi, but at least I can trust them to actually deliver and not cancel it at the last second.

I know Amazon have had to cancel all their pre-orders as there is some kind of recall taking place for the tin and Collectors edition. Maybe related to that? It was available this morning when I looked.

People moan about the price of this (which btw is quite reasonable for 80 quid given what you get) and you're spending the best part of 200 quid on a game in a shiny case and 5 small plastic busts? More power to you my friend but wow!

I didn't moan, think it's a fair price, just not got what I am looking for.

Usually buy 2 of stuff like this and sell one to soften the blow. Generally I don't bother with collectors editions unless I can get them for sub £100 (which generally happens when you buy 2 and sell 1), final fantasy series is my all time favourite.... I just don't spend on other stuff.

80 quid is reasonable? And people say gaming has never been cheaper. Cheaper my ass.

For a collector's edition, yes sadly. Artbook, full soundtrack, duffel bag all ontop of the 50 quid game. Sounds like a good price to me if you're a fan

How much do you think the production cost of those items are?

How much do you think the production cost of anything is? I don't think a Prada bag costs £800 quid to make do you? What would you be happy with paying for this edition, just bare in mind the price of the game.

I've seen an unboxing that convinced me to not buy this based on the quality of the bag. The straps don't look the strongest, but that wouldn't matter if you bought to collect and not use. I also know someone who bought the Japanese collectors edition and they got a really nice multi-disc soundtrack in a jewel case. This edition is just songs from this game in a cardboard CD sleeve. I still think this package is great overall but I'd have been happier with the Japanese CD. I think £70 was a nice price based on the game being £45, but no more.
I see the U.S. Are getting a controller skin free with their standard versions of the game as well. Something else we won't get offered...

I wouldn't pay anything for it as I dont like these games. If you wait a few weeks you would get the game for a significant discount and the rest is junk. An artbook? That you might look at once and never again, soundtrack? Theres something called YouTube if I wanted to listen to a track for free and a duffel bag for what? Its all junk and a reason I'm glad I'm all digital to avoid stuff like this and that includes physical games. You can fool anyone of something with enough marketing.

Understandable. It's still not a bad price though considering the launch price of the game. My backlog is so huge I'm not even getting the game at launch now, because I'll never be playing anything else if I do!
