Day 1 editions. Another cheap marketing ploy that gullible people will fall for.

ShopTo is still a tiny bit of a better deal due to my silver membership, and the delivery is always great through royal mail. That being said though this might be good for others. :)

So tempted having never owned a ps3. I suspect this will drop in price like the brilliant Tomb Raider did though. That is, quite quickly. Will try and exercise patience!

The Zavvi deal was still a little better but with this being the Day 1 edition, it being a better retailer and the fact that Zavvi have now put their price up this is a very good deal. Heat!

Totally agree with you mate. I think this will be sub £30 by xmas and maybe less. Still tempted to order though.

Disagree. Months on TR is around £25 but it dropped in price at about the same (or slower) rate than its initial release.

TLoU kept it's premium price tag for months on PS3. I wouldn't expect this to start dropping until Feb, when the AAA releases finally break the drought.

if you use flubit for a better deal do you pay upfront?
#11
is zavvi the day one edition?
#12
Got it for £22.87 with a £15 voucher I got from work. Excellent price. Many thanks!!

I'd rather buy from shopto as they've always been better for preorders, but is this really a good price? I mean not only has it been cheaper multiple times and most likely will again, but it's just too much for a remaster. For me nothing above £35 Is a good deal for this.
#15
I don't think anyone is buying this because it's a 'Day 1 edition' as the bonuses from that are largely pointless.

Don't bother using flucrap they have a tendency of cancelling the order after purchase due to lack of stock?
If you don't care about receiving it then flucrap is a good idea (but why buy it then?)
Flubit aren't as good as they were. They have cancelled several of my orders recently after accepting them & taking out payment.

Not if you are gonna play online,

Day 1 Edition also includes the Exclusive Survival Pack containing:
Increased Crafting Speed
Increased Healing Speed
9mm Reload Speed Upgrade
Rifle Clip Capacity
Two Skins fro Joel and Ellie
Bonus XP for Multiplayer

those perks would come in handy in online mode.

You're missing the point. It's a remastered version of an fairly recent game so Tomb Raider is a pretty good comparison. That went from £44 on 1st Feb to £22 last week. Half price in just over four months.

This is a great game but the hype on remastered titles wears off very quickly. This will be sub £25 by Christmas.

I am so tempted by this as I only have two PS4 games since launch. But the PS3 was great itself apart from a few frame rate issues so not sure whether it's worth a double dip although I did only pay £20 for mine.
#23
Possibly the most overrated game I've ever played

it will drop relatively fast I think, second son is starting to dip below the 25 mark pre owned

What is so good about the day one edition? An old game being £37.85 is not that great a deal in my opionon. Got tomb raider for £25 and meh.

Glad they have price matched. Shopto are an awful company to deal with.
#27
Do they take payment now or closer to release?

May stick a pre-order down now but cancel it if it comes cheaper somewhere else.

Where was tomb raider £44?I paid £32 from zavvi on release.

I think with this been an exclusive title, basically game of the year edition with all the dlc included it will retain its price for a while.

Yes and the problem is that they're really slow at sending things these days. My last order from them took weeks to arrive whereas an Amazon order for the same product probably would have arrived within a couple of days.

Such an amazing game and i really want to play it again on ps4 but just cant justify nearly £40 on a last generation game but knowing me i will be bored one day and end up picking it up just after launch

I've never played it so really looking forward to this on PS4. I've gone with Simply Games as they always ship early first class.

Considering its a remaster all of them should be in the normal game anyway. Probably be available on the PSN store from day 2 just to squeeze whatever bit of cash you have left out of you.

I've submitted a request to Flubit and I'll see what they come back with. It will be a hard sell unless it's on the right side of £30 though.
#37
Mainly given up with Flubit, My last few orders they took the money and then a few days later were unable to source the items. By that point the Amazon price had increased as well!
#38
Thanks OP, I refuse to use Shopto so was waiting on someone matching or beating their price. This will do me nicely.
#39
Thanks. I've cancelled my order at Shopto and moved to Amazon. My wife kindly bought me a £50 Amazon voucher (so she got a free £10 one herself), so I've used that for this.
