No need to be sarcastic by quoting the OP, it's not the OP's quote. Had you visited the site you would have realised he was quoting the product manufacturer's blurb directly.

Exactly why so many of us rarely post a deal. This site is plagued by sarcastic and condescending comments which are completely unnecessary and say a lot about the personality of those who delight in making them.

Sarcasm is also really irritating, any sarcastic friends I've ditched as all they do is er make sarcastic comments. Sarcasm is not really a form of wit it's a form of vitriol because the sarcaster (is that a word? lol) has low self esteem and it's an easy cover for them. That's my pseudo psychology done for the day I think :)

Sarcasm is like swearing;

unless used sparingly and appropriately it loses all it's impact......

On a more deep level, we're all insecure. People who come out with a lot of sarcastic remarks may well be doing it to boost their ego\self image\how they see themselves...on a subconcious level. You can hardly say they are directly trying to do it so it's hardly a crime.

Sounds like you're talking more about sociopaths...they on the other hand are utter skum. Disgusting little freaks, not nice to be in your childhood\teens around such a person.

Anyways I digress, I think I've made a sarcastic remark one of your deals or comments recently\or a critical one at least that I wouldn't make in person. Again this is hardly done maliciously, I guess there's a fair chunk of visitors to hotukdeals who have been coming here for years and the quality of the overall quantity of deals has dropped significantly due to some....ahem...people (it makes me angry just thinking about it) posting stupid store specific, unavailable, hen's teeth type deals that nobody benefits from. All in some stupid self loving (that's definately not a typo) kind of way. There are some people here with over 100 deals to their name...Nearly every one of them utterly rubbish. There's a member who posts a seperate deal for every item on special offer at the end of the aisles in tescos....Stupidity like that can be really infuriating because it spoils the site.

The act of looking to save money obviously puts one on "edge" so to speak. It's almost a high like gambling for some people getting a good deal. So these "idiots" who get in the way sometimes get a verbal poke in the eye for "trying to help"...

Personally I wish there wasn't a swear filter here...there are some effing stupid people around and hotukdeals used to be one of the the places the stupid people didn't know about.

Then there's the problem of everyone here's sense of humour coming across as that of the general sense of hurmour of a "Carry on film"...Being only 25 I find this annoying.

I'm only human but this place can drive you bonkers.

Feel free to analyse me if you chose :p

Ok. Any chance anyone could get back to the point? I've tried looking for reviews/ battery info but can't see anything. It is still a good deal but I want something specifically that will work on battery power for at least 6 hours... Anyone know anything more about this product?

Buy Ni-Mh rechargeable battery with capacity from 2500mAh upwards for dab radios. Visit amazon or 7dayshop for best deals. Energizer, Duracell, or 7dayshop own brands are good enough.

Bear in mind this uses standard AA types and not the C type of most other brands so you're not going to get long out of it on them.

I'd just pay my dues personally and get a Pure One Elite refurb for £46 delivered from bigpockets.co.uk better in every way and what's £24 over the period of a year or so if you use it a lot, stereo sound, pause\rewind, battery length....no brainer to me.

I bought a Lowry DAB radio from Morrisons last week for £16.98. Pinchbeck store still has some left. They also had a white Lowry for £14.98 which I regrettably purchased first and it was a hopeless pile of rubbish, so I changed it for the black one, which is a different design. The changing of stations is rubbish as you have to go in a menu, but it works ok for me for £16.98. I only listen a couple hours a day max anyway.
