any one use this for decaf?
What is the point of decaf coffee? Do you just like the taste of s****y water?

You see, some people have low tolerance for caffeine, yet they still love their coffee. This is where decaf solves that problem.

I know some asthmatics who swear by it as coffee is a trigger, many more like myself have several uber strong black coffees in the morning makes the difference to asthma for the day - caffeine contains theophylline related properties similar to substances found in BLUE ventolin inhaler.

Its all in the DNA, caffeine for many people or meds they are on are a nono. But still the taste is satisfying, I wish I could find a egg and allergen free mayo alternative as easy as the decaf coffee drinkers - I love and miss my mayo

Asthmatics should be drinking black coffee from 8am - 6pm every 2-3 hours, I recommend Percol Black & Beyond instant on the go & fresh ground or pods wherever possible, it does make a difference if you're asthma is well controlled with meds - it is not a substitute for controllers or reliever medication but it can help reduce dosage (which has has its own long term risks) of meds and other steroids, my body/asthma is defo poorer functioning without 2 very uber strong coffees when I arise in the mornings. 2 heaped like mountain teaspoons per coffee cup, not a mug.

This is a brilliant coffee machine. I bought one for my husband for christmas but paid £40 from John Lewis. I'm not a coffee drinker but lavazza coffee is delicious. Amazing deal.

Have one of these machines and love the Lavazza pods. The only downside of this machine is that you have to manually stop it dispensing coffee: there's been a couple of times I've got distracted and ended up with an overflowing coffee cup (_;)

Never tried lavazza coffee, what other coffee brand is it comparable to taste wise? Do the pods cost much?

Looks good. Do these only work with A Modo Mio pods? How readily available are they?

There isn't a comparison. Circa £3 but buy online/bulk for cheaper. 48 pod sampler of 6 flavours here £17.98 delivered

A good reminder to start using mine again.

What's the difference with this and a tassimo? I've had my tassimo for donkeys now but only use the espresso pods, heat my own milk up and have a latte.

Is this quicker? Nicer? More economic?

Can you get hot chocolate pods for this?
I'm not that fussed by coffee but like the idea of having one of these for when people come to visit.

none in either Warrington store, no pods either

I have a bean to cup for home & use an aeropress when in a hotel or fishing. tbh the difference between makes is negligible. Yes the aeropress is that good. I've never seen any deals for the aeropress but they are cheap enough to be great value. You need an espresso grind coffee (my favourite is Segafredo) and to save a bit of faffing a stainless mesh filter.
Can't recommend the Aeropress highly enough.

Something i would have loved but after an extensive search online proved fruitless it seems only 1 brand make coffee only capsules for this machine meaning lavazza have a monopoly on the capsules for now...
There are self fill compatiable capsules on amazon which have comments of sucessful tea/herbal concoctions. I can see no reason why filling up with some good quality chocolate powder wouldnt work just as well for a small cup.

Hi. Only drink coffee, hate tea. But coffee machines I've had only seem to give you lukewarm coffee, with cold milk. This any different?

Wouldn't say it was piping hot, especially if adding cold milk from the refridgerator. I find you also need to warm up the cups first.

I get it periodically. GP advised against Omaprezole tablets as wouldn't solve the underlying issue. I tried Gaviscon -no help. But Gaviscon advance seems to stop it immediately. Might be worth trying.

It's true coffee has an effect on bladder and bowel for many. I actually find the latter helpful, helps keep me regular. Which touch wood will be partly protective against stomach and bowel cancers in later life....

Yes this doesn't do boiling coffee. I put milk into microwave before adding to coffee.

Yes good coffee because you get bean choice but too fiddly for me, so put it in the cupboard and bought a Melitta, expensive but worth the outlay. Pod coffee is, well not very nice no matter what pods you buy.
