£16.99 @ Play.com ...

Bathroom lights can be painfully bright in the middle of the night and can disturb you or your partner's sleep. Unfortunately, most night lights waste electricity all night long, occupy valuable electrical sockets and don't put light where you need it the most. The LavNav is a better solution. It turns on when you approach in the dark, and turns off after you leave, shining gentle yet sufficient light where you need it, when you need it. Better yet, the LavNav uses RED or GREEN light to cleverly show the position of the seat. It's smart, energy efficient lighting that makes the bathroom safe and easy to use at night.

mmmmmmmm. I wonder?????

hahahahahahahahaha that's the most stupid invention I've seen since the dog seatbelt for your car.

Thanks OP, cheered me up.
#8
Cheers - just ordered one :)

A good idea for kids and the elderly, but the placement on the cover (or whatever it's called) is bad. When the toilet is being flushed the device will be splashed. I wouldn't fancy changing batteries on this.

Not voted either way.

Those stuck on LED lights (3 for 99p) are my current solution.

Don't buy one, I know they are cheap but bought one for my partner as a bit of a joke and it only worked for about 3 days.

Clearly you have never had pee to clear up, I suppose mummy does it for you? I bet one of these would cheer her up more.

As for dog seat belts, apart from the more obvious reduction in Vets bills, I have never fancied having a 10stone Rottweiler flying past removing my head in a car crash, so I can't see the humour in those either.

I see that as the potential drawback, but at least more manageable with low self discharge rechargeables, also available from 7Dayshop:
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=107341
or a little cheaper on their Amazon Marketplace.

Maybe he doesnt have the bladder control of a 3 year old and can cope untill morning?
If you have a ten stone rottweiler it should be in the back with a suitable dog cage...

Surely the 10 stone rottweiler would be of better use if sat on the dashboard and used as an emergency airbag?:?

I only ever slept in a bathroom when I was homeless?!

A 10 stone dog in a 4g crash weighs 40 stone. See the problem now?

Yes i see now, the dog obviously needs to lose some weight before its placed on the dashboard

Not that good, paid £20 when they first appeared, batteries went flat and I still haven't replaced them, forgot it was there to be honest.

But now I've seen this thread, I'm gonna change the batteries to remind me of how crap this is.

why are you going on about cars, dogs and crashes. if he thinks it's a stupid idea that's up to him, I also think it's a stupid idea but it's cheap so who cares.
for your dog problem I can only suggest that you either get rid of said dog, fit bars or a cage or just don't crash, you can decide which option is best for you next time you take a dump in your illuminated toilet

These lights are taking the ****!!...
#22
I'm amazed somebody somewhere could think of this and then manufacture it. Even more odd that there is a perceived need and then to go an buy it!

then you obviously havent used one.....bought one of these as a joke gift a while back...actually turned out to be more than useful....well made, unobtrusive...illuminates a pitch black bathroom with a soft green glow (red if the seat is up).........no problems whatsoever with the batteries - still havent had to change them......heat, rep and thumbs up to the OP

My 3 boys would use it as a target :-D

i didn't mention cars

Not sure what size these are, but with it stuck on the underside of the lid wouldn't it dig you in the back when you are sat on the throne reading your book? - lol

Because he was comparing this products uselessness to the dog seatbelt adapter, thats why!
As for your suggestions  Now they WERE useless!
Get rid of said dog, yeah thats a fantastic suggestion to safeguard both yourself and a dog you dearly love. Fit bars or a cage, again your a genius, that'll definitely protect your dog from injury in a crash but hang on you save your best till last, 'just don't crash'

Of course as you say his entitled to his opinion, as is the dog owner who posted that they thought the comment referring to the dog seatbelts was ill informed and wrong an opinion I might add I completely agree with!!

The amount of trolling going on lately is absolutely killing this site.

This thread being a good example.

Impossible to discuss anything like adults :-(

I like it!

LavNav to 10 stone dogs in just a few posts, it's complete genius.

My wife gets up every night to go to the loo, and often wakes up out of her sleepy daze due to the bathroom light being too bright. For for us this sounds potentially useful, except for the fact that someone has mentioned it lasted 3 days. And I also still think it's too expensive for a couple of LED lights and a light sensor.

Ahem, it was you, nihcaj, that first mentioned 10 stone dogs flying past and "removing" your head. Seems to me like you may be a little prone to wandering off topic yourself.

No, unless you have a problem keeping time in chronological order, read the thread again.

Surley there is enough light in most bathrooms to find the loo and then just have a sit down wee in the dark? I guess if the loo such as some ensuites doesnt have any windows then it could be useful.

There's a few people with no sense of humour on here too who believe they can give other posters a lecture on what they are and aren't allowed to contribute to the discussion. Luckily as they seem to spend quite a lot of time up their own (dimly lit if you buy the product) @rse it's almost on topic.

lol.. even tho this is a weird item.. it would be useful with my 4 year old.. hot from me for that reason!

Why don't you take your bad attitude somewhere else and do us all a favour eh? Your ill-tempered scornful posts add nothing to this forum.

My temper is fine.
I think this is a reasonable product, not for everyone, but a good idea.

You are not posting ANYTHING about the product whatsoever, just comments designed to troll. Unfortunately moderators do little about this sort of thing now.

Now you will post another similar comment to what you have posted before........ nothing to do with the thread, but designed to wind up me or someone else. You can do that all day if you like, as I say, my temper is fine.

I think no-one else is interested now, but if you have something to say, why not post about the topic, as NONE of your posts have been remotely about the item, just about ME?
