i did look and th last posting was 3 months ago.
also its the 1st time my 99p shop that has had it.
as most people know on hear that 99p and £1 shop get different stock at different times so one person may get something from one store and no one ese can get it.

"layer cake dvd 99p at the 99p store"

I thought they had it priced at a pound.

Hot :D But as the person said above, not really worth owning, but at 99p it is cheaper than a rental if you aren't subscribed to some package already.

Would be a waste at 9p. Can't vote cold tho just because it is such a Danny Dyer of a film.

I wasn't complaining, just pointing out that it's been available for a while there which is good as means people are likely to get a copy.

I also think it's well worth the money and more.

Isn't this the one were Sienna Miller gets her jugs out?! Well worth 99p just to pause-rewind-pause-rewind, etc, etc (for about 30 seconds!!!!!)

Most of you above clearly have poor taste in films if you dislike Layer Cake.

Get yourself a dvd remote that has an A-B function, saves the hassle of busting at the wrong time. A common example would be skysportsnews flashing to Neil Warnock right at the "crescendo".

Most of Matthew Vaughn's films are superb.

Layer Cake is easily one of the British gangster flicks, far classier than Guy Ritchie stuff, superb preformances, fantastic soundtrack, and a poignant ending.

Great film :D

England. Typical. Even drug dealers don't work weekends.

Couldn't have put it better myself. It improved the second time I watched it and certain camera shots (like the slow zoom in and then out on XXXX's eyes) are virtuoso work.

No we just know a crock of over inflated, self indulgent, badly written cr4p. But then it is a Guy Ritchie, as in. I'm just off for a Guy Ritchie, cr4p. You can of course replace that with a Danny Dyer or a Jason Statham. Whichever it's gonna stink.

How so? With an excellent script and talented cast, I cannot see your reasoning...

It was a low-key movie that exceeded expectations, with a screenplay written by the author from his own acclaimed novel. Released after the summer blockbuster season had gone. It's the summer blockbusters that are full of what you describe! This movie has nothing to do with Guy Ritchie. It's far more intelligent and urbane than anything he has done. You should have some coherent facts if you want to present an argument ;)

If you don't like the film, then you wouldn't pay 10p for it - fact is, it's 99p and a hot deal, hence the point of the post! Whether or not you particularly like it is of no relevance surely? 99p for a DVD is a good price. Heat added pour moi :)

You miss the point. A guy Ritchie is another word for cr4p. The novel was never acclaimed till the film and it was everything i expected for Michael Vaughn, turgid, obvious and poor.Daniel Craig managed to keep a straight pouting face so some credit to him. You can't wrap a **** in roses, it still hides a ****.

No I see your point, it's just not valid. I must have missed that 'Guy Ritchie' bit at the Street Slang School, even though three of his films are ok and one is very good. Or you traveled through time when the positive literary reviews were out four years before the movie's release and it's own positive reviews.

Well it all depends how easily pleased you are. You like a simplistic rehash of badly stereo typed characters, i don't. And believe it or not books of 4 years or more are not historical. Books are widely available and can be as bad or not that good as when first written, regardless of it having a pointless and derivative movie made from it.
