* I suspect that Debenhams have made an error with image in the listing as Azure Blue is a darker shade than the one they feature for this item - The image I show in this deal is, I think, the right shade*

Always fancied this stuff, but the reviews for this seem poor. Anyone any experience of it?

theyiddo states in his post for Debenhams vouchers -

"Remember: when entering a code at the checkout, click on the APPLY button, do not just hit enter, or the discount won't work

If you have any problems, remove the items from your basket and logout completely, then login again."

Also, I used the PL7P code to purchase mine.

My experience is with the pots, which are nice but only enamel coated (hence not good for everything) and are quite heavy so not really for an elderly relative.
I'd be interested to hear what anyone has to say about the frying pan.

Thanks for this, applied both discounts so a really decent price for a quality product.
That said, this is my third order with Debs and the previous were cancelled so here's hoping eh :w00t:

Heat an Rep given for a good post.

Yes I have. I LOVE my Le Creuset Casserole Dishes, they are brilliant, my oldest one is about ten yrs old and looks brand new.

HOWEVER.... I hate the frying pan. My sister has one. The body of the pan is enamelled cast iron, therefore very heavy. Which would be just about copeable, except you then have a strangely long handle, or it feels strangely long anyway. The handle is round, so not great to grip. My main bugbear though, is that when you're holding the end of the handle and trying to lift up the heavy pan, it is VERY heavy indeed. It's the most uncomfortable frying pan I've ever used. And it wasnt even as good as my tefal non stick frying pan, at cooking food. Part of the wooden part of the handle ended up quite burnt too, though whether that was due to my sister's neglect, I cant say. :p

I honestly wouldn't recommend the frying pan to anyone.

Totally agree. Love all my other Le Creuset pans but HATE the frying pan. ;-)

Have this frying pan, the none stick coating flakes off very quickly and flakes end up in food.

Not a very good quality item. You see the brand and their retail price and think, wow that must be the dogs! A big let down however.

I won't vote, and yes I've cleaned it correctly, and no they will not offer a replacement when these go wrong on their warrenty.

I've had this one for about 3 years, and used it extensively.

It is rather heavy, which is to be expected from cast iron. So flipping pancakes is not easy at all.
It also takes a while to warm up due to it's sheer mass, so don't bother using it if you just want to fry an egg.

But it is great for steaks, fish, and similar due to it's heat retaining properties. Also for reducing sauces, caremalizing almonds, and other heavy duty purposes.

I've not had any problem with the non-stick coating.

It would be a fantastic buy at this price, just be aware of the inherent limitations.

These pans are great - my parents have had the same set (which are still in great condition) for 15 years. Heavy duty but the weight has great properties for keen cooks. Obviously don't use metal implements or you will scratch the non-stick coating and it will degrade fast!

Bought one of these years ago and it is the worst ever it is very heavy, save your cash and buy a good teflon one instead.
