Been watching this for a while and it's the cheapest price i have seen so far. I know this will probably get voted cold because there has been a few cast iron casserole dishes posted that have been almost half the price of this...........but if you can find it cheaper at the mo then let me know as i am tempted!

Technical Details:

26 cm wide
Holds 5.3 litres
Portion size 6

Enamel interior, which is hard wearing and easy to clean
Suitable for use in the Dishwasher, Oven, Freezer and Hob

Has anyone seen one in Red? I need a bargain for my Brothers wedding pressie in Jan. I might just get him a granite one instead at this price.

VAT is only going up 2.5% and most stores / companies will absorb the increase. Don't believe the hype!

That's like comparing a market bought t-shirt with say one that was styled and cut by G-Star. They both do the job but one just looks and feels better......

Bought......and I'm happy with my decision. I knew this would be voted cold. Probably by all the people who'd vote a 'Rustler Burger' hot for 50p.......

Le Crueset may cost alot, I have fair amount of it myself, but it lasts years, always cleans up well and is simply one the best cookware ranges about, that comparision is irrelevant basically.

Not irrelevant at all. Yes LeCreuset is good stuff, but ridiculously over priced. The Aldi stuff is also cast iron, etc. It doesn't have the brand name or snob value but it's good stuff for people on a budget or look for value. Your attitude is fine if you have plenty of money and don't mind spending it on brand names but this stuff is a perfectly valid alternative (though I acknowledge that it may be felt less appropriate as a wedding gift).

Do you have a wasteful AGA too???????????

Will it stroke your ego if it's from House of Fraser?:
