Two great deals in two days Leona71 - can you make it 3?

These pots are fantastic, I've had one for 6 years and it's still like new.
#16
Nice one ordered for myself, I don't mind if after xmas so long as it's quality :)

Can anyone confirm the litres capacity of this as it seems a bit small?

Thanks Moob, well i'm looking and certainly doing a lot of spending at the same time :giggle:

To be honest at times i'm put off posting deals as i hate it when folk slag and slate others on here at times. Some people are so rude at times

mumbojumbo
These are 3.3 litres or 5.75 pints.
Should be good for 4-6 generous servings (assuming you're not filling it to the brim!)

These are not in stock though, so I don't know if your orders will be honoured at this clearance price. Probably a few lucky people snapped up the last stock at 4 for 3!

These are a bit on the small side TBH. The 24cm is a much better size, because they often get used for whole chickens, large stews, etc. Still a decent size, especially for the price.

Good spot - many thanks. Ordered one for us.

Now, if anyone spots a deal for the shallow 30cm casserole, please let us know. Been looking for one of those for a while. Current Amazon price £93!

Regards,

White.

#22
What is the difference between a Cocotte and a Casserole pot?

Indeed. There seems to be some kinda weird hierarchy involved when posting deals here - don't get it myself. You often find yourself getting annoyed when it goes freezin cold for no apparent reason!

Well done and keep up the good work - with posting the deals that is, not the spending!:giggle:

Thats all its worth how can you justify that for a pot that will give the same results as a £8 tesco special if i got friends or family one of these for christmas they would bounce it off my head and im sure they wouldnt know that it had a value of £80+.

If anyone can explain the high price id love to hear does it wash itself up.
#25
if you think an £8 tesco one is going to be any where near as good then go for that. up to you. There is no way it will be though. Its not a high prioce at all. This is a bargain

ever used a Le Crueset? They are, (and i'm no chef but perhaps that is even more to the point) amazing to cook with and military grade on the wear and tear front...
#27
The wife bought a full set of these le crueset pans years ago cost a packet there **** we would never buy them again.Far better are the old alloy pans which the wife now uses.

You can't stick an £8 tesco cheapy in the oven, and it's not guaranteed for life - is it?

If your friends/family bounced this off your head, you wouldn't see next XMas - that's guaranteed too.:giggle:

Once these things are hot they cook in it's own heat, very energy efficient.

The cast iron stuff is guaranteed a life time.

Compairing Tesco pans to Le Crueset is like compairing a Porsche to a Skoda. I know what i'd prefer

Ooops, didn't mean to be rude

The last time Amazon ran a Le Creuset offer they didn't have adequate stock either. Lots of orders were cancelled without warning. Additional items in the same order were then charged at full postage because the total order value was below that needed to qualify for SuperSaver delivery. Great if it comes off, but a pain if it doesn't. Amazon just cancelled the orders the last time and blamed their supplier. :-(

I have to agree...I was fortunate last time as I ordered when they were in stock.
Hope these come through however as I've also ordered....cracking pots and post:-D
