lol cold, this is could even be a mis price i think not compared to new prices but compared to the otehr warehouse offers, importantly it is in LIKE NEW condition which will pretty much mean perfect from them, for people who dont have sky and just like subscription free tv this is perfect gets great reviews too

Excellent tv, good price.

Great TV for that price, the cold votes are probably due to the very low stock (showing 2 at the moment).

im in the market aswell so really tempted, but i dont really need 40" for a bedroom plus i dont recon ive got room for its base on me desk lol, dont think ive seen freeview HD on a tv this size down near this price yet, its still in stock btw, jsut copy and paste the link

market palce deals dont go direct through the tab :)

EDIT: also posted 37le4900 for £364 the other day and that went cold, it doesnt get as good reviews as this but thats a big LED freeview HD set brand new.. swear i must be starting to lose the plot on what i think is a decent deal.. TV prices do seem to be plummeting recently though so im looking forward to whats to come.. ill just keep waiting on that samsung UE55D9000 to fall into my price range (in my dreams) best mainstream commercial TV set made to date? imo yes

still in stock. Seriously people, if stock levels are gone; its expired, if theres still stock; judge it on the deal!! Hot from me.

Lol I've just moved into a flat with an older pioneer plasma I'd say the sammy would have it's pants down if no just for the aesthetics alone, but admittedly I haven't seen one of there more recent Kuros in the flesh.. Think the one I've inherited is a 2006 model

Bought mine in January, after a lot of research. Review here http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-le40c580-le32c580-20100728791.htm . 'Highly Recommended'.

Outstanding picture quality. Outstanding build quality & style. Glass stand, glass-effect bezel, metal rear casing, transparent bezel edging, red pinstripe at the base of the bezel. It oozes quality.

Unlike so many TVs, there's no panel or processor lottery with the LE40C580. It has the Valencia processor & S-PVA panel... no subscribers to the C580 thread on Avforums have reported getting anything but the S-PVA panel so far this year.

If I didn't already have one, I would take a chance on this deal. I don't think there's a better TV <£500 ... apart from this deal http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-40-lcd-le40c652-with-internet-tv-crampton-moore-ebay-479/952040

thought there was only 1 cause amazon warehouse usually individually lists the specific differences with each set and there was only 1 at £325..

was interested to hear what dooper said on this actually and it all sounds good, let me know how u get on C-fax and i might well get in there myself, even though its a lot more screen than i need

OK, arrived today! Came out the shower and hear something come through the letterbox, saw it was a "Sorry you were out" card and sprinted after Mr Citylink.

Box was a bit battered and grubby - had been opened, but it had been resealed with Samsung branded tape which was reassuring. Inside, the manual, cables and screws were all in nice plastic bags, though the manual was pretty crumpled. TV still had the protective film all around the outer frame bit. Everything was a little dusty, the TV had obviously been attached to the stand before (a little chipped paint around the screw holes) and a small bit of polystyrene packing had broken off at the corner.

The unit, remote etc however are all immaculate (after a dust-down). Wired it up to my Virgin V+ box with HDMI and it looks great, no dead pixels, no screen scuffs or anything, no marks on the stand or surround. Not able to test out the Freeview HD because it seems in our new house there's ariel wires in the kitchen, all three bedrooms (two in the loft bedroom) and the study, but none in the living room. I'll haul the Xbox down later to see how it fairs with that, but it's looking a bargain at the moment!

I'm obviously nowhere near as up to speed on these things as the guys on that forum, but... Backlight 3? Sharpness 0? I've now got a soft picture I can only see with the curtains shut. :|

The Backlight setting is subject to personal preference, try 6 up to 10. Sharpness at 0 is correct.

If you're accustomed to the unnaturally bright & digitally sharpened picture provided by default settings, it may take a while to get used to the more natural picture of the optimised settings. It's worth giving it a couple of days to adjust to it.

If it doesn't suit you, it only takes a moment to choose one of the preset settings from the menu.

Heat from me dude. The size is decent and the freeview tipped it for me. Shame I can't afford it. Maybe I shouldn't have bought that NIntendo 3DS, lol
