Winner of Practical Preschool Gold Award 2008.

The TAG Reader is a touch-and-talk reading device that brings stories to life like never before.

As children touch the TAG Reader to the pages of specially printed TAG storybooks, a small camera in the tip 'reads' the pages, enabling children to hear their favourite characters speak, listen to pictures sing and hear the words on the page spoken aloud.

The TAG reading system engages children with a wide range of additional books that encompass a multitude of fun stories, games and activities that introduce reading comprehension, word building, phonics skills and more.

In addition children can unlock extra content online in the form of printable activities and certificates via a dedicated website.

The TAG reader can store up-to 5 books and an additional feature is that you can listen to stories on the go!

Contents include TAG Reader, Ozzie and Mack storybook (story audio pre-loaded on Reader), user guide, USB cable and LeapFrog Connect CD.

Does anyone have one of these? I'd like to get my son one but never seen one working and if its any good.
Got one for my 4 Year old sone and he loves it, but I did it for £9.99 from Woolies (RIP).

It's a great idea, only slightly let down by the small storage space on the unit, you can only hold 4/5 books at a time. You can load then on/off using a PC and USB connect easily enough but it's still silly considering how small each book really is.

I reccomend the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends book, it's one of the better ones.

I got about 6 books last year from a UK leapfrog website http://www.leapfrogshop.co.uk at £4.99 and been waiting for a similar offer this year as they are still quite pricey.

Hope this helps!
toys r us are doing the books for this on a 3 for 2 offer at the moment
