Chair was £79, now £39.50. Free delivery on all items over £50, applied to this as its over £50 before discount. £10 off voucher

XXNKNQ

on items over £70, applies as this was £79, vat back promotion gives you a further 95p off, making a total of £28.55 delivered, plus 3% quidco (not sure what total that will be on, so somewhere between 80p and £2 back)

cheaper than ebuyer and viking, and possably better quality as well (have to justify that £80 tag somehow)

Its worth mentioning its only leather faced, so its only where yoru bum and back go that are leather.

This isn't really a problem unless the rear of the seat gets rubbed against walls or desks etc on a regular basis, although can also lead to the front and rear of theseat differing in colour with time.

I bought this a while ago and from a looks perspective, it's OK. However, it is probably the most uncomfortable chair I've ever owned.

If comfort is important because you would use it a lot then I'd recommend that you look elsewhere.
#3
great price heat added

Just ordered as the one I'm on now has seen better days and what with young kids, this will be a ideal replacement.
Besides a total £55.30 off and then add quidco to that, this makes it a bit of a bargain.
At least it does not have those horrid plastic arm rests that snap off!

Thanks for that - I'm still on the lookout for a good office chair in the £30 mark - any suggestions?

Thanks, just ordered one for my son.
#7
sorry, but that is not a typical £80 chair.... its a very cheap looking chair , not worth more than 30-£40

all these inflated rrps are fooling no one

( err-- well maybe some people ! )
#8
Thanks for the reviews guys... I was very tempted by the price but considering my fat ass will be sat on it for upto 6 hours a day maybe its best wise to invest a bit more money for the comfort.

I don't substantially disagree with your point, but I do think these represent a pretty good deal at the prices we're paying. I think I more than got my moneys worth at 25 quid - the chair won't win any awards, that's for sure.
#15
just ordered mine had chairs from here in past and they seem ok good deal heat added.
just got quidco validated £2.01 its calculated on the upper tier price woohoo
#16
have any of the naysayers actually got this chair, or just saying it's rubbish based on the looks?

the upper price on tesco direct doesn't have a line through it which means this is a genuine reduction. You'll not be getting a leather chair for any less at the moment anyway

quick search suggests this guys got one, few more photos.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/purplelime/2873149192/

Anyone know if this chair tilts backwards?

Has anyone got this chair at all?

Thinking of getting one but need some opinions first.

Thanks

agreed.

but the £79 RRP is a joke - cant we just have well priced goods without the artificial rrp valuation ?!!!

agreed.

If we did then we wouldn't be able to use these vouchers that give us such a good discount. If the price was simply £39 and not £79 now half price, the voucher that makes this a good deal would not work and hence we would have to pay £39 and not £29.

Sorry for bumping this topic,

But you guys know if there's any vouchers or deals which could make this chair cheaper now?

And for those who bought this chair, how good is it? Can it tilt well and stay in the tilted position without force?

Buying this chair as a student so will probably use it quite often.

Tried using vouchers but none of them seem to work so if anyone could help I'll greatlyt appreciate it.

Thanks alot guys for helping! :) cheers

btw : whats quidco?
#31
IMHO stay away from the chair!

I have already had a refund due to one the wheels snapping off. While the chair was comfy to sit on and and did tilt, the cheap material used meant that some metal parts used in the base "ripped" through the plastic.

I phoned Customer Service @ Tesco and they arranged a van to collect the chair, a all day appointment, so that a refund could be made. I advised CS that all the packaging was discarded as I had the chair for over three weeks. Advised no problem.
Van turned up mid afternoon, tried to hand chair over but was refused as it had no packaging:w00t:
No advise and off he went. Phoned CS again to complain and then advised they will send another van to pick up but again another all day appointment. Declined that as I waited most of the day waiting for the first pick up.
Then told I could take to a large Tesco and get a refund. Ensured this would be ok and double checked. Took it to the Tesco store and guess what... they said they do not take furniture.
That was the last straw. The ladies in the store were very polite and phoned Tesco Direct to ask for more information. They were told that it should be wrapped in a bin bag then it can be taken and they will arrange a courier. Grrrrrrrr!
I refused as I had carted this chair to the store and now will not move until a refund is given.
The manager of the store agreed a Gift card will be issued to the value of what I paid. I did say that I have wasted time, additional phone calls and petrol to sort this mess out but it would seem gift card or another battle.
Gift card it was.

So, this could of been a one off and I'm sure others have had better dealings but I would say have a look elsewhere. Perhaps Staples or Viking Direct.
