Nice deal:thumbsup: But as the blade locks in the open position, it is I believe illegal to carry in public in the UK without a very good reason:whistling:

3-5 weeks wait for dispatch, may disappoint if buying this for a present.

Still a great deal though!!!

@Geemac

I concur - if the blade locks it's illegal to carry daily.

I'm all for stopping hoodies roaming around with knives, but I want to be able to carry a multi-tool around for those times when I need something sharp along with a screwdriver or pliers etc...

I got a Skeletool CX a few weeks ago, only to find that the blade locks and is therefore illegal to carry without a very good reason (even though the blade is only 2.5" long and would otherwise be legal).

I visited the states this summer and all my mates over there carried a knife of some sort with them at all times... They're just so useful. We are all mid 20's to mid 30's and on the whole are responsible adults. They don't think of them as "offensive weapons" over there and you can legally carry one anywhere except government buildings (according to my friends). They can't get their heads round why there is such a big deal about them over here... I'm not talking about massive hunting knives either... Just pen-knives that lock.

It's quite obvious that these things lock so that the blade doesn't fold back and chop your fingers off... Not so that you can go on a stabbing rampage.

Maybe the law needs to change to be something like "If you're over 30, and the knife is attached to a multi-tool and is under 3" long, it shouldn't matter whether it locks or not".

Kids shouldn't carry knives, but as a bloke who is constantly tinkering with stuff, I think I should be able to carry a multi-tool around without fear of prosecution.

Rant over. Sorry to anyone who's been affected by knife crime (or daily mail readers).

Great find, thanks. One ordered and heat added

Yes great buy, I've got the Gerber version which has lasted a good few years, but you could have problems carrying it with you, sad times:thinking:

I have several Leathermans up to the Charge Ti all with locking blades. I now carry a Victorinox Cybertool. Which is a good penknife it’s just not a Multi-tool

Just a heads up and not intended to be a dampner on this great deal, I've been drawn in by quite a few of the Amazon 'bargains' before which state 3-5 weeks delivery of an assortment of products, have ordered anyway, been confirmed etc and waited a month or so before Amazon decide to email me saying they cant get the item in an have cancelled the item from the order. Its happened far too many times to be coincidence so I wouldnt be surprised if this deal goes the same way.

Sorry, dont want to spoil whats a good deal and worth going for if you're not in a hurry or get too disappointed if they dont honour it. Whats most annoying is that in most cases this has happened, days later they post the same product back at the far higher original price. Seems a bit of a ploy to get people on the website.

Otherwise, top deal and worth posting, thanks.

The only time Amazon have ever cancelled any of my orders is when there was an obvious price error. Also I have never had to wait the maximum time for delivery.
Maybe I’ve just been lucky

#15
just checked my order - estimate 4-10 decemeber....must be out of stock now and rather than say that they put a crazy long delivery time - sneaky!!
#16
now £29.62 :(
#17
Is the link to this item correct. The price it links to is £29.62 and the Lowervat code doesn't work with it, finally its a 3-5 week delay which usually means you won't get one with Amazon.
#18
yea, as above have they changed the price?
or wheres the correct link?
#19
It was the right link but it looks as if the offer has gone. The price is coming up as £48.88 ATM, and not sold by Amazon either.
#20
damint i was gonna have one at this price!
#21
price up to £48.88 now, ouch!!!
#22
I was lucky. Went back to my shopping basket after it expired and got it kept the cheap price :whistling:

Just got to wait now.
