I hardly think the two are comparable! It's like saying why buy a Porsche when a Kia will do the job!

Voted hot!

I have just ordered this for my hubby for Fathers day and he is really chuffed!

Thanks
Heat and and Rep!!!

Indeed, I've had a Leatherman Wave for about 5 years, and a more useful item I cannot imagine. They will survive a nuclear war. the big outlay is worth it, tough and durable.
#7
I've the Leatherman Juice, top quality. Buy with total confidence. Only thing is you'll have to be Ray Mears to truely appreciate it. Go explore.

An absolutely brilliant price.
I've been wanting a leatherman but undecided which model to go for. This has just made up my mind.

Heat & Rep added to you for this top deal.

why does it come in a nylon pouch and not leather?

You can use it to kill a cow and fashion your own leather pouch.
#12
Cheers OP, just ordered one,

Seems that there is only one left in stock!!
#13
Well, I've just ordered one... and it still says in stock!
#14
Have ordered one, 5 left in stock apparently, only I could only get it for £37 delivered, maybe they upped the price?
#15
Great find i just ordered one.
#16
They've obviously sold out, and the only way to order now is from an Amazon market seller, which you wont get free delivery with.
#17
Don't get me wrong here, I think this is a Hot looking item but what's the point? Fair enough if you're into 'survival' and getting away to some god forsaken place but you cannot carry it around when you're in the street, down the pub etc just in case the need arises... well, you can but if you're 'caught' by Plod you'll be arrested for carrying an offensive weapon. Sure you can have it at home ready for action but then you could have a tool box, 1x decent posi-drive screwdriver, 1x decent flat head screwdriver, 1x Pair of Pliers and a large knife from the kitchen draw for that price at home ready for action.

As jobibear says...

The point is that it is an extremely high quality multitool, that is very handy to carry around if you do outdoor pursuits or have a need for an occasional tool at hand. Multitools and Swiss army knives are not illegal to carry in your pocket, although you wouldn't take one to a nightclub.
If you would use such a tool sometimes, its far better to have something that wont fall to bits the first time you use it.

Great tool at a great price.....

As long as the blade isn't more than 3" long and doesn't lock in place you aint going to get nicked for carrying it.....unless you're doing something stupid with it!

Good find

oooh that does look very manly, i feel the testosterone levels rising in me.

the kia has a 7 year warranty!

lol

one sexy looking tool.

I've a Leatherman Wave and a Micra which I got for a fiver on my keyring. Both very good and the Micra is especially useful.

Anyone know exactly what the law is with carrying these sort of things, I've got a similar Gerber I used to carry around with me but too worried now in case it's classified as an 'offensive weapon' :?

Hmm, bit of a grey area on that one, but I think the police tend to turn a blind eye to someone walking around with a Gerbil, unless of course its rabid or espescially agressive etc. At least keep it on a leash

It depends on the situation.

I bought 2 sets of spoon/knife/fork camping all in one set (although I must admit the knife was a lock knife by design) from Argos.

Me being me, I undid the packaging in my car and put them, in their cases in my jacket pocket. That weekend I took my 6 year old to Windsor castle. Going through security the things were picked up on the scanners. I was told to 'wait there for a minute'. Armed police were quickly on the scene. When I explained the situation [ i really just did forget they were there], the Police said 'it was illegal to carry a weapon like that around with you'. When I said can you put that in writing please as I believe I will have recourse with Argos the whole story changed.

I was told if I were on a camp site all would be okay. The thieving ******** still confiscated the 2 sets even though I offered to take them to my hotel room or leave them in their custody until I left Windsor grounds. My choice was that or be arrested. Rip off Britian at it's best.

Mind you I think it entertained my boy though

I'm always unsure as to how this really relates to Leatherman tools. I have what ever the biggest, heaviest multitool they did about 10 years ago (I can't remember its name) is and although the blade is probably shorter than 3" it certainly does lock in place. I thought all Leatherma tools included locking blades as they are frankly dangerous to the user without?

From the CPS:
Section 139 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 prohibits the possession in a public place of any article which has a blade or is sharply pointed, (including a folding pocket knife if the cutting edge of its blade exceeds 7.62cm/3 inches). (Archbold, 24.125)

Having said that, I also have one of the big old Victorinox Champ Swiss Army knifes (22 years old at least) and that has been way more useful (and portable) over the years despite me cutting large chunks of my fingers off with it on occasion. I saw one of those on here yesterday and thought it was a much better prospect.

Strange co-incidence - I bought 2 sets of spoon/knife/fork camping all in one set off ebay from PCConfiscation just yesterday. Strange thing is his other items are mainly nail scissors and really sharp combs!!

Joke!!

That's a good point... if you're searched by a copper for any reason and they get shirty about your knife it doesn't matter what you think or know the law to be. All that will matter is what the officer thinks the law says. If you try to lecture him or her on your rights and their rights and what the law says, you will find that not only is your item confiscated but you are then detained at the officer's pleasure for an indefinite amount of time on the charge of being a smartarse.

I approve of coppers and am glad they are there but self-righteousness comes with the uniform...

Love the Leatherman by the way and wish I had an excuse to buy one.Heat added.

Nice Price - heat added

I've got a couple of leathermans and they are really good quality, got a juice pro from costco 18 months ago for £35 and picked up a leatherman fuse about a month ago from do it all for £26.98, this was a cracking price, came with a nice aluminum 3 led AA torch to (may still be some of these knocking about)
