good quality knife etc but a wave for a few more ££ of ebay is a better buy

I got one of these and I have to tell you its not as good as they hype it up to be... and the thing does take up quite alot of space in the pocket/ jacket/ bag....

Lightweight - advantage over the replica ones..........

BTW I bought a 'copy cat' one from toolstation when they had their sale and it came with a smaller one and also a torch AND other bits and bobs... for under a fiver.

Sure, Leatherman Wave is a great tool but not a pretty as this one.

No corkscrew (my Leatherman has one - which invariably gets used at every party).

I was not that impressed with them though - as the blades dont lock and seem overwilling to fold.

Also the smallest screw driver which is only used for working on PCs and tightening electrical wiring into the brass screw closed clamps (in domestic plugs, sockets, switches, and pendant lighting etc) now has become so rough it looks like it has been abused (but has only been used on the aforementioned fittings). I know there is a warranty - but I dont fancy shipping it to Oregon to discover they claim it was abused.

I think my next Leatherman is a Gerber.

Yes, that's the kind of subjective analysis and comment that makes this country what it is.

All four for a tenner in the shop.

Still no locking or corkscrew though.

Most of these tools are stainless steel, with the exception of the darker grey one I posted above which is magnesium.

They could have wiped the thumbprints off before they took the photo. :giggle:

With the current press knives are getting - its more likely to be a blood stain.

I got a good cycle tool/spanner last night - Tesco Value - 6-15mm box (ten sizes - bone shaped) spanner for £1.50. I have used it already and its excellent for the price.
